For the price it can't be beat
I got one renewed and the only two defects are a scratch on the volume rocker and a battery with only 86% capacity according to AccuBattery. Since the batteries aren't cheap or easy to replace that's kind of a bummer but it's enough to last until the next set of Pixels come down in price on the used market. I still get about 5 hours of screen time. Not good but not horrible. There is no fingerprint reader so it's not very convenient with a mask but it's not a huge deal.Battery life is fine but I do have to recharge at least twice a day as a heavy user (I don't let it drop below 25% and I unplug at 90% and I don't charge overnight). Screen is good, the forehead is big but there's no camera cut out. Speakers are good, nice and loud. The camera is amazing and why I keep buying Pixels. It's fast and consistently takes great photos and video but the lens gets filthy almost immediately so I constantly have to wipe it off. Running stock Android is nice and fast too, and Pixels usually get four major OS upgrades so with two under the belt there's two more to go so this phone will last a long time. You'll have to replace the battery before it runs out of official software support.

Received phone with "Stuck Battery Glitch" then received wrong phone as replacement..
Purchased from ELECTRONIC DEALS.I received my renewed Google Pixel 4 XL 128gb yesterday (12/23/20). There was a deep scratch on the back glass of the phone, but the front of the phone looked immaculate. It came with a cheap case and other than that scratch was in good shape. I put it on the charger before starting it up and instantly noticed a little battery icon with a question mark in it. Weird I thought. From there I powered it on and started the set up process. Once it was setup I notced the battery had only said 50% the whole time it was charging so i unplugged it. I used the phone for about 10 minutes after that and it suddenly powered off.I plugged it back into the charger while it was off and this time it showed me "1%" and that it was charging. Once it got to around 25% while charging and off I turned it on. Sure enough the phone said 50% battery when at the home screen.I looked it up and this issue is super common with Pixel 4/4 XL usually requiring a battery/motherboard replacement. Having a phone with an inaccurate battery value being reported and it shutting down makes it next to useless.I have contacted ELECTRONIC DEALS and I hope they'll send me a replacement Pixel 4 XL 128gb without the same issue. I'll update this review with the information/solution their customer service provides.--UPDATE--The seller replied to me quickly and on Christmas, which was pretty great customer service. They're going to send a replacement phone (I really do like the phone beside the battery issue that's tough to notice without using it a couple days). I'll update about the new phone they send.--UPDATE(1/11/21)--I finally received my new phone from ELECTRONIC DEALS. They sent me the significantly cheaper 64gb version of the the pixel 4 XL 128gb I purchased. The screen of this phone also has lots of scratches on it, including directly over the selfie camera(see photos). This really bums me out. I'll be sending them a message and see what they say. What a bummer.

If you know what you're getting into...
I am a huge Pixel fan and I bought the Pixel 3 at launch and decided I would wait for the Pixel 4. When I saw it went on sale here for 289/315 with tax was skeptical, to say the least. I read the reviews that said it wasn't unlocked, or that the battery was toast, or that it was scratched. Knowing all of that, I decided to go ahead and buy it anyway because all of those are fixable. Here's what I got.I got a Pixel4XL. I arrived in a white box that looked a little bit like the one Google uses for their phones but it wasn't branded. The phone was wrapped in bubble wrap and there was a Verizon branded USB-C to USB-C Charger which concerned me since it was supposed to be unlocked. The phone was protected and wasn't damaged by shipping.there was a minor scratch on the upper left part of the screen (Not noticeable unless you examine it in the right lighting and angle). It booted up perfectly. It was at 50% which I thought was a weird percentage to be on. I inserted my ATT SIM and it accepted it. No problems there. After about 30 minutes of setting up and installing apps and whatnot, I noticed it was still at 50%. Bingo. It had a defective battery. I called a UfixIbreak and they told me at most it would cost $100 to fix it.So all things considered a refurbished Pixel4XL for $415 - still not bad.I dropped my phone off and it was ready within 4 hours. I asked them to just lean out all the ports and speakers which were clean but you could tell someone had used the phone. They replaced the battery and ran some tests on it. It was working 100% capacity and health.THE BEST PART: It was FREE! Google extended the warranty for the Pixel 4 battery so they were able to do it at no charge. It's basically a brand new phone at this point! The Verizon charger is a fast charger and is really high quality. If you make sure to read and know what you're getting into and plan ahead to get batteries replaced and clean the ports/speakers, then this can be an excellent purchase!
