Vibrant Performance Vibrant 1149 Streetpower Black Flat Oval Muffler 3 inch

Okay, initially I had horrendous cabin drone with this thing on my ‘02 BMW 330ci. I was so close to taking it off after 2 days and going back to stock it wasn’t even funny. I don’t know how, but after a few hundred miles the drone as subsided significantly and it sounds really good now. It is true, there are definitely little burbles when you let off the throttle, which is great. I kept both my resonators on and I’m cool with that loudness. The finish looks really nice on it too, definitely impressed for the money.

This thing is great. Very high quality build. Sounds fantastic on my 2001 BMW 330xi. Just make sure you have a good shop do it or they might screw it up. It is stainless steel. Very nice powder coat finish. With stock cats and resonators it produces a fantastic sound and zero cabin drone. If you are purchasing this for a BMW get THIS model with the 3in inlet, not the one with the 2.5in inlet as that would be too restrictive especially for the 3.0 liter. Make sure you give this thing about 300 miles to “burn in” because the sound improves dramatically from first installation

I've had this muffler on my 1995 turbo eagle talon for over a year now and it's at the end of a 3" turbo to tip exhaust system with a magnaflow high-flow 3" catalytic converter. I replaced an old generic 5" coffee can muffler that was on the car when I got it and boy what an improvement. The car IS a little quieter but not stock sounding and the quality of the product is excellent. Another plus is that I love the look of the twin tips sticking out of the stock location. If not for my car being so loud to begin with it truly would be stealthy (there's a vibrant resonator on my wish list to mitigate some of the noise). You really can't go wrong with Vibrant products!

Sounds good, looked good new, but not a track muffler. The finish burned off the tips right away.

This muffler is absolutely gorgeous, the finish looks fantastic. It does a reasonable job of keeping exhaust noise under control, but its design prevents it from being truly quiet. With a 3" inlet and 2x3" outlets, there's essentially a magnification effect to the resonance which can be unpleasant at certain engine speeds. Also, it ended up not fitting where I wanted to install it. That's not the muffler's fault, it's my own for taking poor measurements.

the exhaust was falling off my S-14 240sx & i decided to go for a more "stealth" exhaust. i paired this with a Vibrant "ultra quiet" resonator. the car sounds stock at idle with a very subtle deep rumble when driving. quality construction, thick sheet-metal with what looks like a powder-coated finish (it was tougher than typical paint when cleaning for welding)

Work as intended and fit perfectly on a 3 inch pipe. Quality seems very good as the paint finish held up well. Quite down my vehicle just enough to help with highway drone but I could still hear the throaty exhaust tone when I wanted.
