As I'm disabled I'm often unable to get to the shops, so I run out of things like eggs. I mulled this over and remembered my mum talking about the use of powdered eggs during the war and thought what a good idea that was...then I realised I could still buy it!I checked the reviews and chose this based on others experiences and Im very pleased with it.Some people say they have trouble mixing the powder, but instead of chucking in whole tablespoons of liquid, just like any other powder,it doesn't go lumpy if you start by mixing a very small amount into a paste....then add more until you have the consistency you want.Instead of water I used milk and some butter and made an amazingly light, fluffy and delicious omelette.The consistency was perfect and the taste was exactly the same as fresh eggs.I checked with the most exacting members of household too...and made some for my 2 small dogs who loved it and licked their bowls clean.I'm very glad I found thus product and I'm going to ensure I always have some on hand, it's also going to be so useful when I'm camping....no more worries about crushing eggs!!

Definitely good in a pinch, tastes ok.The real value is it's there when you are in a pinch.For me it's just not whole egg.I find it is very yolky. Like the most of the egg white has been taken out.great if you like a lot of yolk but not so much if you like the white with it.I've tried frying, microwaving. baking. and cakes., every one seems too much yolk not enough white.But that is my opinion as I am fussy with food.TBH I suspect you need to get the egg white powder then add them together in equal quantities and you'll have an actual egg in the right proportions.

Top quality, very easy to mix, lovely texture and taste, makes excellent omelette.

I can't comment on whether this cooks up well, either alone in a scramble or with flour and sugar to make cakes. I can say that my dogs love it, though, and it's much more economical than buying fresh eggs when said dogs are barely 2kg a piece and I don't eat eggs myself.The powder isn't stinky, mixes well with warm water, and is safe to give to them without any cooking as it has been irradiated and so any potential salmonella has been destroyed.It can be tricky to get the texture and fluidity right in such small amounts as I am using, but the very basic instructions printed on the bag are pretty spot on. I assume the quality is good? When mixed properly, it definitely looks like whisked whole eggs.

Just made my first omelette using this and it worked a treat. Tastes like egg, looks like egg, smells like egg, but nicer. Bit messy to get out of the bag, but that deffo won’t put me off buying it again.

Decent substitute for egg ,better than most works well in cakes etc,not so good with Yorkshire puddings, easy to make odd texture on it's own works very well with other foods,no real egg smell ,for the amount it works out cheaper money wise and easy to make with simple instructions
