Great display yet compact size, easy to use features
Awesome compact digital clock radio with BIG display (approx 1.45in or 46mm high). Display is LCD that can be viewed from any angle, color and brightness are easy to change and adjust. Display shows not only time but Month, Date, Day of week, and FM station.Easy to use, well marked controls (I'm 67 and I figured it out quickly!). Radio has good fidelity but only picks up FM. Radio scans all stations (normally only have to scan once) then automatically saves the strongest 40, you then use Up/Down arrows to select desired station from list (can also be set to specific station if too weak). 2 alarms, can use either buzzer or radio. Nice, thorough instruction pamphlet. The only weak feature was the USB charger port seemed wimpy. Overall, a great clock radio, especially if you get a coupon deal for under $20 like I did!

Nice clock
I got this for myself because I liked a couple of features of other clocks.. and this had them all. It's got a weekend setting, which really comes in handy. It sets your alarm (either or both) to NOT go off on weekends. For those of us who don't work on weekends... that is a must. This is not your typical LED clock though, it actually uses a display, so it can show much more information on it. That can be good... and bad. For a clock... the right hand side of it can get kinda busy, and if you wear glasses, you may find that without them, you can't read that stuff. Fortunately, the main CLOCK info, the time, is big and readable.I have two gripes about this clock though.Because there aren't dedicated buttons for certain functions, you HAVE to keep the little manual/user guide handy. You will need it to do some things that you don't do often.Next, there is no way to LOCK the buttons, to prevent unintended setting changes. If you knock this clock accidentally off of your nightstand, and grab it... you WILL press a button. And when you do that, you can change all sorts of things, but namely it's possible to just turn off the alarm, or turn off weekend mode. That is bad.And this last item, isn't a gripe, but it is an issue. The SIZE of this clock. It's SMALL, and really light, and because of that, any accidental brush of your hand or arm or pillow while you are sleeping and it will move... and perhaps fall right off your nightstand. Would be nice if there was a way for it to stay put, even with a slight push. That's one of the nice things about most other clocks. So, if your clock is on your nightstand, and you accidentally touch it, you can inadvertently change settings, like the weekend button, or hit the ALARM 1 button and turn off your alarm. Some things about the clock, once you figure them out, are OK, but I wish they had done it differently. For example, the ALARM itself. When an alarm goes off, you have two things you can do. You can press the big SNOOZE button, and it will snooze... as expected. OR, you can press ANY OTHER BUTTON to turn off the alarm. And when you are snoozing, it doesn't show that status on the display anywhere... and once you are snoozing, you don't have an obvious way to turn off snooze without the alarm going off, and you hitting ANY OTHER BUTTON but the snooze button. So, train yourself to respond to alarms by snoozing or pressing a SPECIFIC button... like the lower right button (which you can feel with just your hand, and don't need to look at the clock to do).Additionally, the different brightness levels of the display are... just OK.You set the alarm brightness with the same big SNOOZE button... just when you aren't snoozing, you can alter the brightness... from BLANK to BRIGHT. It's like 8 or 12 levels. But, I found that, in order for it NOT to be too bright (especially right by my head and all) and still see it during the day, it needed to be on level 2 or 3. Would be nice if it would auto-dim at night.Setting the alarm to being a RADIO STATION was a pain... I just made sure I gave myself some time, and set a practice alarm to go off so I could verify it was working. All in all, I do like this alarm. Will I buy another if this one dies?Meh, we'll see.

Clear, easy, and economical
I had no idea how frequently I looked at he digital clocks on my decade old cable TV boxes until I recently got rid of all of them. Never mind there were plenty of other ways to tell the time, I needed a replacement. This economical gadget was the perfect solution. Clear display and a variety of brightness and color selections. It also displays 24 hour time which is my preference. Cheaper than many digital clocks alone it adds a FM radio with antenna which I have set to a news/weather station in case of severe weather. I tested and the radio will work even if the power is off (just be sure to install batteries). Can’t say how long it will operate but enough to get past a tornado warning I’m sure. I am going to order another one for the guest bedroom!

A change after 10 years...
I had the same alarm clock for 10 years....Shopping for an alarm clock was something I did with angst and loathing. It’s one of those times I could tell I was maturing because I did not want or welcome changing this tried and true, trusty alarm clock —- but I digress.Today I opened her up, this new gem that I’d spent the better part of TWO work weeks shopping for. With sadness I unplugged ol’ trusty and tossed her aside.I took out the manual, saw it needed 3 AAA Batteries (for backup power source) so I gathered those, and plugged in the cord to the power adapter and the cord to the clock. I put the batteries in and voila! She shone for the darkness in her green lot glory.Without opening the manual, I clicked and clicked. I was all excited to set my alarm, the color preference, dimness setting, 24hr time, date, and find the radio. It was THAT easy. The radio came in crisp and clear with plenty of options for volume (although I rarely used it with my other one albeit for a cleaning session or two). I did peek at the instructions to figure out how to get out of FM mode (a quick double click on the FM button) because I didn’t think it was intuitive enough for double-clicks. I thought this simple clock’s capacity for clicking and long pressing buttons was where the capabilities began and ended...Although it’s a bit premature to say that I’m in love with this little clock, it really is the simplest little companion. This company has made something simple, capable and fitting that anyone can use and enjoy! I’m a red-display fan, but many others may enjoy a green or white display. I think that little feature accompanied with the 12 or 24hr clock option, and the daylight savings time setting REALLY modernize this little gem.Again, I know it’s a little early to be decidedly reviewing this, but I am so proud, impressed and (quite frankly) relieved that my shopping around for alarm clocks resulted with such a versatile gem.I’ll edit my review with any findings (ie power outages, glitches or display malfunctions, if applicable.)Tatafornow!
