The Simpsons book as described! Excellent
My family and I have always been Simpsons fans. We were at Barnes and Nobles when my son begged for this exact book. I told him that $20.00 is a bit much and maybe we could find it on Amazon. And we did. We placed our order within 24hrs received an email saying we would be getting in a couple of days. With fast shipping and affordable prices I'm glad we waited!! Great expereince ordering online and would def order again.

Exactly what you would expect from the Simpsons
Hilarious, that is all I can say about this book. The funniest quotes from each episode written down along with pictures and facts. The book has Season 11 and 12 episodes(including my favorite the VH1 parody "Behind the Laughter"). If your looking to laugh get this book, you won't be disapointed.

By no means is this a step up or an improvement from the other outstanding guides to "The Simpsons." In fact, a bit of a step down. You get your memorable quotes from episodes, your summaries, your "Movie Moments," etc. But my favorite part about the other guides was the little box that pointed out the "Things You May Have Missed." That box doesn't seem too thorough in this guide:There are always more and more "in-jokes" in the newer episodes...so why does this guide talk about them less than any of the others? It doesn't make sense; it was a little disappointing. What you'll find in those boxes in this new guide are a bunch of tidbits that waste time...they point out bits such as, "Bart is wearing his lucky hat in this scene, which he hasn't worn in two seasons." It's too bad that the writers missed things that I, a regular fan, can find without even taping the episode and using the pause button. But everything else was up to par!

Simpsons Beyond Forever ROCKS!!!!!!!
Wow, The Simpsons has been around a LONG TIME! Right now, they're on Season 15 and the hit show doesn't look like it will end anytime soon. Of course, the episodes are kind of stupid now and some are losing interest. The Simpsons Beyond Forever covers season 11 and 12. The book is basically a really detailed episode guide. Inside, there is an Itchy and Scratchy Filmography, Homer's D'OHS! and his mmm's, and of course, the couch gags. But, that's only part of the book. Also, they tell everything you need to know about each episode in seasons 11 and 12. There's the stuff Bart writes on the chalkboard, quotes from the episode, a summary and hilarious pictures. With 2 pages for each episode, they have plenty of room to fit anything they want on it. They even do a The Stuff You May Have Missed section for every episode. They have even more information for the Treehouse of Horror episodes. 4 WHOLE PAGES! The episodes aren't even that great! The book, I wouldn't consider short, but not long. The first book(The Simpsons: A Complete Guide To Your Favorite Family) almost has 100 more pages than Beyond Forever! But, Beyond Forever has enough information that the few pages don't really matter. You'll find EVERYTHING you need to know about season 11 and 12 in this book. Basically, it's amazing. I would reccommend this true work of art to any Simpsons fan. You could watch one Simpsons episode and still find this book interesting. Seasons 11 and 12 weren't included in the drop of ideas that has suddenly come into The Simpsons. The wonderful episode HomR lets you discover Homer's only stupid because he lodged a crayon up his nose as a kid. Plus, there's the crazy Trilogy of Error episode where it tells where Homer's finger was cut off by Marge and her brownies. All in all, this book is AWESOME! Buy it.

A Fun and Insightful Book
If you are a fan of the Simpsons, which I do not doubt if you are considering buying this book, I strongly urge you to pick this up. I have the two other Ultimate Simpsons books, and while seasons 11 & 12 are not the best the show has to offer, this is far and away the best of the three. Each show gets a 2 page synopsis, except for the two treehouse of horrors, which get 4 a piece. More quotes and more "stuff you may have missed" can only be a good thing. I was a little disappointed with the second book, with its lackluster plot retelling and lack of groundbreaking material. This one on the other hand is much better in both of these departments. Not only do you get the expanded information for each episode, but also included are rough sketches from the particular season (4 pages of these). You get to see early sketches of such characters as Xena from the Treehouse of Horror XI episode, Kid Rock from the Spring Break episode, as well as the show's regulars. Very interesting to see. This book follows the same format as previous versions but for the first time expands on the original idea. If you have the other two Simpsons books, you will not be disappointed with this one. If you are a fan of the show, I recommend this and the other two books to you. It is a must have. A truly entertaining and insightful book!

The definitive guide for Simpson Anoraks...and others
If you like to find out more about the episode you happen to tune into on TV, then this book will help. Painstaking levels of detail for two of the more recent series, will give you info you would otherwise miss. Funny and informative, and sits well with the previous 2 volumes. Recommended.
