The backs are 4mm wide and 3mm thick. They fit most earrings and they are easy to put on and take off. The quality of these earring retainers is very good. My daughter had her ears pierced at the end of august, so had to leave them in at school for 6 weeks. After this period of time, she started wearing these for PE and swimming - how amazing they have been. They are so easy for her to put in herself, they stay in really well, they are barely visible either. She doesn’t feel any pain with them and most importantly it’s meant that the piercing hasn’t closed up. Honestly it’s taken away so much stress of thinking it will close up or she can’t do games at school, I would definitely recommend and will be buying more once these are nearly used up! I’m not sure if we can reuse them after cleaning, I don’t see why not - we just haven’t tried yet! Also inexpensive enough that if they do get lost then it’s not a disaster. These have been a fantastic alternative for my daughter at school she got her seconds pierced and couldn’t remove them so wore these in her first piercing holes as there is a one earring set policy :)

Bought these for my daughter for school. Cheap, when she takes them out, she puts them in the bin. You can still see them but at a glance, you wouldn’t see them.

The earrings went in very easily and are suitable for darker skin tones! I have to wear these for school and they do the job perfectly!
