I really enjoyed this book. I love the more Scifi feel to the Earth One feel to the Green Lantern. Here the ring are more weapons that, then the person using them choosen. There is a more science reason for the power difference of the rings as well. I hope the build on this in the next volume.The artwork matches the story perfectly. There is a lot of thing setup or unfinished in this volume so I am definitely looking out for that.I on one of the quotes of this books is "true to the character's core", this is true bit it is the world that is different world. I think it is even mentioned by Jordan himself he is from a totalitarian society. All in all a very enjoyable version of Grean Lantern. No cover gallery but a sketch book to finish the book off.

An excellent follow on from Vol1. It will leave you hankering for more by the end, but is entertaining and complete as it stands as Hal and co continue their adventures. The artwork is first rate and well worth browsing through again once finished reading.

“Green Lantern Earth One 2” is a continuation of the first volume, set a few years after the first, of which I remember nothing…This is excellently-illustrated, in a very “European” style (by an American artist), but one that also suits the story, which recycles more of the Green Lantern back-catalogue into a new story set in a future where Earth is about to step onto the galactic stage due to the events in the previous volume.Apart from spotting a “Stewart” name-badge on one of the astronauts on page one, I will not give any more spoilers, but this really is a well-thought-out story, utilising several plot-devices and references from the ‘real’ DC universe, but putting them to good use here.Most of the finale will be expected by long-time Green Lantern readers once all the plot-pieces are in play, and you mostly get what you expect, along with an obvious set-up for a sequel if called for.
