I wanted these to shine UP toward the ceiling from the TOP of our cabinets to provide a soft, ambient light. It mostly did so, with a few "adjustments".- FIRST NOTE: The light strips are DIRECTIONAL! That is, if a section is turned the wrong direction it will NOT light, but 5V DC power will still pass to the next section. I saw posts where people said strips did not work - this is likely why. Look for the tiny "5V" letters and make sure they go in the same direction. (This actually solved a problem for me. I had a long distance between cabinets, so I used a spare strip as a conductor.)- These little lights are BRIGHT and somewhat harsh! I wound up using half the strips necessary. I also placed parchment paper over them to diffuse the light. LEDs don't get hot and it's using low-voltage, but since parchment paper is made for the oven, I don't worry. (see photo)- I added a wireless switched outlet in the cabinet above my microwave and a dual-USB adapter so that I don't have to plug/unplug the USB adapter. (see photo)- I like the USB cabling since the cable ends will fit where AC plugs will not. And it's a smaller hole to drill if you have to do that.- I recommend taping the dinky little connectors to hold them together (I did not have to peel and stick since they are on TOP of my cabinets).I would certainly use these for UNDER counter, too, but we already have them.

I love these things. They stick to everything even in weird angles. The only thing I didn’t like was the extension things. They were a bit wonky to use. But these strips are brighter than the lightbulbs in my trailer.

These are a viable approach to lighting keyboards that are under shelves.Depending on your setup, you may need to install a strip to block the light from shining directly into your eyes as well as illuminating the keyboard. These light strings are very bright.It is a finicky job to attach the string of lights directly under the shelf or cabinet. I installed it first on a frame made of scrap strips of wood and then installed the frame under the shelf.After trying the adhesive supplied and several others, I found the hot setup for attaching the strip of lights itself to the frame is hot glue. This is strong, sets quickly, and does not damage the electrical insulation or teeny bulbs.So a good product, electrically sound, that may require some fiddling to install.

THese were easy to install, very bright, last a long time. I bought these almost 3 years ago and I run them constantly- never turn them off. They are not hot, they ARE bright and warm, they have not failed!

I leave this on 24/7 placed under kitchen cabinets. I’ve had it for months and it’s still working perfectly. I don’t recommend using their adhesive clip if you don’t want any gaps in between.. I bought my own duty double sided Tape.

I expected them to bit a bit brighter although that might have just been wishful thinking. The adhesive strips are near impossible to remove without removing the adhesive. I appreciate the adhesive being there so I worked with it. I used one of the connector pins to separate the adhesive covering without removing the adhesive itself.Please Read Before Installing: After putting mine together, one of the lights didn't light. It was due to the incorrect end to end pattern. Before you adhere the lights, lay them down on a countertop and plug them all into each other in the pattern you want them. If any lights don't work, flip it around in the line.

I wanted so bad to like these lights. The concept is great. I like that they are hidden and flat against the cabinet. The cord is fairly long and the switch isn’t bulky.BUT WAIT.. there’s more. The little blue plastic piece that you take of of the adhesive side is an ABSOLUTE nightmare to remove (see the pictures for problems removing). You would begin to remove it and the adhesive was so strong that it would just stick to the blue plastic and would just rip right off the light strip exposing the metal strips underneath (SKETCHY!) but I was able to finagle the adhesive off very carefully and cove the exposed metal bits. I attached the lights how I wanted to the underneath of my cabinet and plugged them in to a 5V output plug wow they were beautiful! BUT WAIT... there’s still more.All good right? WRONG! 20 minutes later the lights turned off. I jaw literally dropped. I was like no way were some of those reviews right. I didn’t want to believe them. So I went to unplug the lights to plug them back in. That’s when I SMELLED IT! Burning. The 5V block I plugged the USB in was so hot, the cord was so hot - it was insane. I quickly unplugged it and let it cool. Once it cooled down, I checked it by plugging in again to see if it still worked (just if it overheated or if there was another issue) and yes, it had overheated, they turned right back on but immediately started burning again.Long story short. Don’t buy these. You will probably burn your home or office down and Smoky the Bear doesn’t want that.
