G4Free 40L Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack, Waterproof Travel Daypack

This bag worked wonderfully as a beach bag for our recent Florida trip. It is very lightweight and folds very compactly for traveling in a suitcase. Once expanded it is large! There are so many pockets for organization, and the wet pocket in the back is a huge plus if using as a beach bag. I was worried about the shoulder straps not being padded, but they ended up being quite comfortable! The shoulder straps are wide, and with the addition of the chest strap, I had zero problems loading this bag up and carrying it comfortably. This bag is absolute perfection in every way for what we needed it for. It's durable, too, and I know we will be using this for many years for our travel needs. I also think it would work well as a carry-on or personal item for plane travel unless you are carrying a laptop. There is no padded sleeve for protection, but since we were mainly using it as a beach bag, this was not a concern for us. Very happy with this bag!

This backpack folds up easily. Perfect for excursions on a cruise. Lightweight and roomy enough for a towel, sunscreen, water, change of clothes and lots of pockets for your other items. Good quality. Well worth money.

I have used this backpack on a couple of trips so far, and it has been very good. I feel like it’s the right size. It holds a lot. And it has just the right amount of pockets. Several of them are zipper pockets, which is great for passports, foreign currency, etc. The straps are good too. I like that there is a strap that goes across my chest when I am wearing the backpack. It keeps it from slipping. There is a small strap for the side pockets that hold water bottles, which comes in quite handy. I feel like this is engineered quite well. I purchased the orange one, and am very happy with it.

I recently purchased the G4Free 40L Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack, Waterproof Travel Daypack, and it's been a bit of a mixed bag for me. Let's start with the positives. First off, this backpack is large and spacious, providing ample room for all my travel essentials and more. My main disappointment with this backpack is its lack of sturdiness. I initially bought it with the intention of using it to carry my laptop, but I quickly realized that it's too flimsy for that purpose. The material is thin and lightweight, which is great for keeping the backpack itself light, but it doesn't offer much protection for electronics or other fragile items. That being said, I've found other uses for this backpack that better suit its strengths. It's perfect for carrying swimwear and towels to the pool or beach, as it has a great waterproof outside pocket for transporting wet clothes and it's also great for camping trips when I need a lightweight pack for day trips. Overall, while the G4Free backpack didn't quite meet my expectations for carrying a laptop, it's still a decent option for other purposes. It's large, pretty, and has plenty of pockets for storage, but just be aware of its limitations when it comes to carrying delicate items.

We put it through the paces- camping, hauling stuff to and from work, carrying everyone's stuff through amusement parks and festivals- and it has been perfect. I have a history of overstuffing backpacks and this backpack has high quality zippers, well sewn straps, deep pockets with interior zip pockets, and the two waterbottle pockets actually fit real world water bottles. I am now buying a second one for my kid who does Scouting America. She'll put it through the paces too. When someone spilled a red drink on my backpack at the last amusement park, I didn't realize it for a few hours because the liquid was still just sitting on top of the fabric- it hadn't seeped through even after all that time. It could use more padding in the straps I suppose but that is the only thing I can think of that might make it better. This backpack is fantastic, especially for the price. When it first arrived, I thought perhaps it qould be short-lived because it is so light, but it has held up very well.

I love that I can fold this backpack for traveling, day trips, etc. The material is heavy enough without adding extra weight. Love the water bottle holders, multiple pockets, and especially the waterproof pocket (note size in the product pictures, this is not a big pocket).

I was looking for a backpack that would be durable and roomy with lots of pockets, but still be lightweight. This backpack checks all those boxes. There are two main zippered pockets - the one in the back is slightly than the front, but both are still quite large. The one in the front has two smaller slip pockets and one zipper pocket. The other has one large slip pocket and one zipper pocket. On the front of the bag there are two zipper pockets, and on the back there is a zippered dry pocket. I wasn't sure how I would like that, but it's actually really nice. It's big and easy to get into. There are mesh water bottle pockets on the sides, and I like that you can strap them in so they don't fall out. They're like little seat belts for your water :) The shoulder straps are comfortable, and there is a chest strap for added comfort. I find that when I use that, it makes the bag feel even lighter since it offers more support. There's a handy dandy emergency whistle on the straps. I haven't had need of it so I don't know how well it works, but it's a nice precaution. The zippers feel smooth and are easy to use. I got the purple, and the color is true to the photos. Beautiful deep purple.

This is my 5th purchase. 1 for each son and 1 for husband and 1 I bought 6 years ago that finally saw it best days! I traveled for work weekend in the city and hiking! It weathered rain snow oceans motorcycles and has been knocked around. My computer and accessory and a Chang of clothes fit in with no problem. This has been a great purchase. Recommend for a very busy active person

This is a great little back pack. It is not a heavy bag to weigh down your shoulders and give you back pain at all. It is water proof, something I need here in Canada. It has multiple pockets that work well, and hold all the things I need to carry with me. Emergency supplies, a card wallet, paper towels and Kleenex for those wet seats on the Metro !! The straps are not a bulky affair and have a chest attach strap for weight moderation.

Dont usually leave reviews but sat here in the airport with 12kg in this puppy, very very efficient bag helped me make weight on my check-in, in awe of its storage capability, 10/10 would recommend
