three strikes against it, thrown away. :(
It didn't fit the car I bought it for. My Corvette has On-Star which apparently makes the rear view mirror very deep. The specs on this holder gave the height of the rear view mirrors it would fit. I measured my Corvette and it was fine. Once it came in tho it wasn't nearly deep enough to clear the back of the mirror. I would return it but Amazon doesn't always cover return shipping. It would probably cost me more to ship it back than I paid for it. Anyway it fit my F150 so I put it in there. I really need a good solution for my Corvette.Update 8/12/2016, 1.) this didn't fit my car, 2.) I put it in my truck and the extra vibration worked the set screw out and it fell apart. 3.) after I epoxied it back together I put it back on my truck rear view mirror. In two days it vibrated off and fell down. I'd say that's three strikes. I'm throwing it away.

Good phone holder
I like this phone holder because it puts my phone at the right height and angle. Once you have the mirror bracket adjusted right, it holds tight and gives your phone good support.

bulky, doesn't stay on the mirror, squeek noise and doesn't stay put often.

Intended to use this to mount the ball directly into the ball socket in the Garmin GPS and LG phone holder ball socket, however the ball in the end of the gooseneck was too small. Not standard 17mm ~ 1/2Inch. Screwing the clamps on and off the rearview mirror takes too long. A quick connect/release mechanism would be better. Most driver's are not going to spend the extra 3-5 minutes to constantly screw the clamp on and off. Whenever the rearview mirror is adjusted the gooseneck has to be readjusted. I would be better to connect it to the rod behind the rearview mirror.
