Works as advertised; its a warm yellow light and it does flicker quite a lot...as if it was a breezy environment. I would prefer less of a flickering but thats just personal preference. It has real wax so they do look real but I would caution it for warm climates as it can cause the wax to transfer to your surface.

I love these candles. They are a light amber color. I would like to order a second set, but I have a question on the remote. Will 1 remote work for both sets or do I have to use the 2 separate remotes?

My favorite invention!! Here in FL ceiling fans are almost always on which makes burning candles impossible. These are so great for the look of real candles and now they even have a remote. Life is good!

I bought 3 sets, what a disappointment, 2/3 candles in each box were either noticeably cracked or broken into bits. Disappointing. Fragile product coated thinly in real wax.

Love these candles! They are very pretty and look so realistic. I have candles all over my home and I really like the way these three look together.The flickering effect is great, and the remote on/off feature is very cool. I have others on timers, but this is perfect since you can adjust their "burn" time to fit your needs from day to day. You will love them in your home and they would make a great gift that anyone will appreciate receiving.They would be so pretty on the bridal or sweetheart table at a wedding since so many facilities nowadays won't allow you to burn real candles. Mine are going to grace my Thanksgiving table this year.One fun thing in my life I do is to purchase products at a discount and then provide an honest unbiased customer review to the seller. I hav ordered a variety of items and these candles are one of the nicest products I have recieved. You will really like them!

Update: The seller noticed my review and proactively contacted me to send me a new set of the battery operated candles. I very much appreciate the wonderful customer service and see it as going above and beyond. The new set is now on their second set of batteries and seem to be working well. I will update the review as needed.These were pretty at first, but after a month of casual usage one stopped working. Now a week later another has died. I don't have the packaging anymore so I can't return them. They also burn through batteries really quickly compared to others I have. They are made well and look nice so it would have been nice if they would have continued to function.

If you love the natural, warm glow of candles but don't want the hastle or hazard of open flame and messy dripped wax, or the stinky smoke, these are a great option! They look and feel just like real candles, but they're actually more like small, flickering wax lamps. Their soft, warm light is very convincing, not like the cold blue-ish light you may think of in relation to LEDs, and there's no dead give-away in the flicker pattern; these appear very random, like real candle light! As an added bonus, as the batteries lose charge, they slowly dim, just like a candle does when the wick is too short! They don't use much power, though, so the batteries last a long time. I forgot to turn mine off several times overnight, and they still worked for a couple weeks with the batteries they came with. You don't even have to get up to turn them off, with the convenient remote, but be sure to flick the switch on the bottom to conserve your batteries as the on/off remote function puts it on standby, much like putting your PC to "sleep". The only thing that I'm not perfectly happy about, is the design of the top rim. Flame candles usually melt more randomly and tend to curl inward as they burn. These are a little too perfect at the top, and the inner edge plunges straight to the surface where the light sits, but over-all, a very realistic flameless candle! As an amateur interior designer, I'd recommend these to anyone who wants the look of natural candlight without the mess and fire hazard. A perfect alternative for those with kids and pets, or even to soften your office space. I purchased these candles at a discount in exchange for an unbiased review, but I'd consider them worth every penny at full price. A great gift for candle lovers!
