So Comfortable
So, let me tell you about this hoodie I recently purchased - it's seriously the comfiest thing I've ever worn. The material is like a warm hug on a chilly day, super soft and cozy. The fit is just right too, not too baggy but still roomy enough to layer over a t-shirt or long sleeve. The drawstring hood adds that extra level of snugness when you need it, and the kangaroo pocket in front is perfect for keeping your hands warm or storing snacks (because let's be real, who doesn't love a good snack pocket?). Plus, the color options are awesome - I went with a classic black that goes with everything. Overall, this hoodie gets an A+ from me for comfort, style, and practicality. 10/10 would recommend!

Here's a long, in-depth review on four different hoodies.
I was looking for a good, simple black hoodie to replace one that I lost and tested four different ones on Amazon:Carhartt Women's Clarksburg Full Zip Hoodie - $49.99CLOVERY Women's Casual Zip-up Hoodie Basic Long Sleeve Hoodie - $26.99MAJECLO Women's Slim Fit Casual Full-Zip Hooded Lightweight Long Sleeve Sweatshirt - $22.95Starter Women's Zip-Up Hoodie, Amazon Exclusive - $15.99I didn't like Hanes' jersey hoodie because it was too thin and flimsy. All the hoodies are size small, black.Out of the four hoodies, I like Carhartt the best. It's a nice, thick material that will keep me warm. The zipper is metal and sturdy. It also has metal grommets on the holes for the hoodie strings (though the ends are fastened with plastic tips). The kangaroo pockets are big and deep. Two things I don't really like are the price point (compared to the other hoodies), and the zipper pull is a bit big.Clovery is my second choice because it's pretty good quality for the price. It's a bit thin for what I want but great for those who want something light but not "t-shirt thin" like the Hanes hoodie. It's really soft and fits pretty well. The hood is the best out of the four because it actually covers your head without tugging up on the shoulders. It actually extends a bit to shield your face too. What I don't like is the hoodie string, since the ends are just tied in a knot, not sewn or fastened by any coverings like the other hoodies. I also don't really like the zipper pull since it clacks against the zipper and makes a bit of noise when I move around. The kangaroo pockets are big, but so are the openings so I'm wary that things might fall out easily.Majeclo is probably my least favorite out of the four because it's thinner than I like (though still a little thicker than Hanes) and it doesn't fit very well. It's really soft, which is nice, but that's also because of the thinness. The hoodie string has metal fasteners on the ends, which is nice compared to the other four. The kangaroo pockets have the same problem as the Clovery hoodie—big openings that your stuff may fall out of.Starter comes in third place as the cheapest of the bunch. It's made of thick material so you can stay warm during evenings (which was my biggest priority). Hoodie strings are nearly sewn at the ends. It is definitely smaller than the other four though so you can't really wear anything thicker than a t-shirt underneath. It suits shorter torsos. I don't like the hood since it's also really small and tags on the shoulders the most compared to the other hoodies. Pockets are TINY, which ultimately is a no-no for me.

Totally worth the price
I had an old zip hoodie I wanted to replace. Don't need a knockoff brand, or a design, nothing worn by an influencer - just something to wear walking the dog, doing errand - you know - living life off the red carpet. The reviews sold me, and they were accurate! This fits like a dream, is very soft and warm enough for 30 degree NJ weather. I can see it lasting forever, which is important since I don't like tossing money into the trash.I ordered 1 in Navy, which my sister promptly stole and ran away with. Came back for the 'blackberry heather', which is darker than pictured. It's very nice and I've been asked a few times where I got it.

Solidly made, cozy warm, not fitted, lotsa room round the middle
I was considering an American Giant, gorgeous heavy cotton sweatshirts for twice the price, and thought I'd give this one a try after my brother praised Carhartt backpacks. Had never heard of this brand. I only wear all-cotton, was hesitant that it's 45% poly. When I'm cold, I want thick comfy cotton not artificial fabrics. But this is a VERY well made, heavy fabric that is super warm and comfy. No problem at all with the blend--perhaps the 45% poly gives it the softness, while the cotton keeps some structure. Sorry, I'm a winemaker, now sounds like I'm describing a wine.I do feel a bit round in it --for my height/size, this is not a fitted, shapely, tailored look. It's roomy/long in the torso, which is VERY comfy but not flattering. Like you're wearing your boyfriend's sweatshirt, pooches out in the middle. Too short in length to hang straight down over your hips, but too long to lay smooth unless you were much taller than me in the med/large. Or thinner could wear the small? I'm 5'5" and a bit shortwaisted, wear a 12 normally. So, I bought the large, thought it too big, set up to return and sent for the medium. When the medium arrived (very promptly), it was still too long lengthwise to give a fitted "jacket" look, and wee tight on the hips so I'm keeping the large. Almost tempted to get an extra large hoping it would fall below the hips and hang straight. Hope this makes sense. Carhartt--maybe publish the lengths? I might just be too short for this cut, but it's really warm cozy comfy, exactly what I was looking for on the comfort and quality side. Definitely happy with the purchase. Wearing this around the house all the time will easily save me $40/month on my heating bill :) The only negative is there's no loop at the neck to hang on a hook/coat rack. For a 'work' style jacket, I'm surprised! if you love that idea Carhartt, you're welcome, send me an extra large in Navy.

Excellent quality, heavy as expected
Looked everywhere for an inexpensive, heavy, good-looking simple full-zip sweatshirt, and finally chose this one. At $55 can't say it fit the cheap cost, but everything else was great.Got the Blackberry Heather, and really like the color - not too eggplant, but still a soft color. The heft of the fabric is excellent, and very warm, just what I was hoping for. Not understanding the tag on the garment which detailed this as "mid-weight." If this is mid, I'd really like to find the heavy-weight one! This garment will not win fashion awards, but it's cut well, and the medium fits great. Extremely happy with this purchase, after many disappointing Amazon clothing purchases.

Nice and Thick
This hoodie is very well made and nice and thick. I ordered the black. I am 5'5 and 138 pounds and ordered the small and it fit perfectly. I'm normally a Medium in any type of top. Good quality and warm. Should have it for years too come. Delivery was later then expected, but it is the season for that and all the supply chain issues. It was worth waiting for. Would definitely order again. Highly Recommended.

Comodissima
