This Is The One You Want
I’ve been using it daily for several weeks now, and feel confident enough to finally leave a review. I’ll start with what I like so you don’t have to scroll as much, but the details of my situation and dog are provided at the bottom of this review. This is a solid product. Lightweight yet rugged. I’m not an expert on stitching, but I do know how to tell good stitching vs shoddy, cheap stitching. And this safety leash is stitched quite well, which is very important considering its purpose. The carabiner appears to be of much better materials and quality than similar products. The slide-locking bar on the carabiner is also a huge plus for me. The size of the carabiner is just right, and it’s designed with the dog’s comfort in mind. Having two anchor attachment points for either a hook-type latch or seatbelt buckle is fantastic. I mostly use the latter, but there are times when the other option is necessary. This thing has already performed its duty honorably on a number of occasions. The first was the day I received it, which was completely my fault. I forgot to shorten the length a bit, and also accidentally rolled my vehicle’s rear windows all the way down. My dog is in the early stages of being trained properly. So when she saw another dog as we parked in my brother’s driveway, she seized her opportunity. She was sitting and looking peacefully out the window as I turned off the ignition. Three seconds later, after unfastening my own seatbelt and stepping out of the SUV, I was shocked to discover that she was already outside too, her entire body hanging outside the rear window, dangling against the side exterior of the door. She wasn’t injured, nor did she even look all that uncomfortable, really. She just looked equal parts surprised and embarrassed. So as far as I’m concerned, I’ve already gotten my money’s worth. Backstory: I recently adopted a two-year-old German Shepherd/ Husky (and possibly Black Lab) mix from the pound. She weighs around 70lbs at the moment and is incredibly strong. Unfortunately, she had never been leash trained or socialized with other animals. As a result, she would pull with all her might on walks (and on a car safety leash as it turns out), especially if she saw another dog. When that happens, she would (and sometimes still does) somehow find even more strength, putting everything she’s worth into running over to introduce herself. So I knew we definitely needed one of these for more than just protecting her in the event of an accident/collision. It prevents her from jumping out the window (when length is correctly adjusted), crawling into the front seat, and from trying to jump out of the vehicle when the door is opened. In summary, I’m a big fan of this product. My name is Tyler, and I approve this message (and product).

Functionality, looks,
I love this. She was stepping in the last one and unbuckling but I love the two options in this one. I feel like she is much more secured in the car and car rides are a lot safer. This is such a great find and for a really great price. The material is also great, it doesn’t feel cheap at all

Reliable Dog Seat Belt That Gives Peace of Mind
I’ve purchased this dog seat belt multiple times because it’s the one I trust and keep coming back to. It provides peace of mind knowing my dog is secured during car rides. The adjustable design and multiple attachment options make it very versatile — it works well whether your dog is riding in the front seat or the back seat. It feels sturdy and dependable, and it’s easy to use. A great safety option for anyone who regularly travels with their dog.

Warning....Freak Accident
!!Warning: Bought this a while back and it's a fine product. Did the job of keeping my pup secure in the backseat when she had a harness on. I only use it for long distance travels of more than a few miles. Otherwise I just leave it laying in the backseat. Well... a freak thing happened yesterday with this belt while it was not being used. On the way to the park for our daily walk my girl somehow stepped on it in just a way that it completely gouged her back paw. She was screaming in agony in the backseat which made me go into complete panic mode. I tried to figure out the issue but she was in so much pain and I didn't want to do any more harm to a situation that I couldn't fully assess. Needless to say, I ran to my local vet as an emergency with this strap jutting out of her back paw. It was awful. It was so deep into her paw that the doctors could not figure out the injury either. So we had no choice but to give her sedatives to knock her out so that the vet could approach it to determine the issues in hopes of removing it. Come to find out, she had stepped on it in just the right way that it had pinched deep inside her paw where the tiny little webbing feeds into the anatomy of her paw. Luckily it wasn't a puncture but just a severe pinch that was excruciating. Once she was sedated, the doctor had to actually cut the metal clip off with a tool. Ugh, it breaks my heart still thinking about it. I never give reviews, and I am not here to disparage the product. I would/and will probably replace it with another purchase, but I just want to let people know that this freak thing is actually a possibility. Make sure when it is not in use that you store it properly. I'm enclosing a pic of my sweet girl sedated and you can see the pink car belt jutting out of her foot. Ugh, breaks my heart. Thanks for listening to my story, and I hope it helps somebody else's pup avoid this freak accident. I think that when I buy it again, I will remove the metal clip and replace it with some sort of slide clip.

Product has nice features and is well built. Would buy it again.
The belt is everything I expected it to be, and seems to be well made and functions very well. I love that there is the option to use either the seat buckle or the car seat harness but I wish when using the seat buckle portion you could secure the car seat harness clip so that the pup doesn't pinch their toe. This hasn't happened, but would be a nice (but minor) feature. The clip at the top is great and I love that it has a collar that keeps the clip from opening up. However, the collar does not spring back up all the time so I have to be mindful that I push the collar back up to secure the clasp after clipping it to the dog harness. The only other feedback I might give is that the swivel is very nice and works as intended by allowing the harness to not get so tangled and twisted. However, I don't know how well this would stand up in a crash and if that was tested. This again is a minor thing though as I feel like it is all pretty solid and well built.

we use it on our 2021 Toyota 4Runner and are able to roll our rear windows all the way down and not worry about the dogs jumping out and they and move freely. Also if you have a dog that loves to instantly jump out as the hatch opens it prevents them from doing so and possibly getting hurt

Really high quality safety strap. I wanted a safety strap where there wasn't an obvious weak point like all those that secure to the dog's collar using a simple snap buckle/trigger clasp. Those would not hold against the pull force of my 90lb German Shepherd if he was thrown around the car in an accident. This strap uses a locking shackle instead, which while the one used isn't as strong as a proper quality high force locking shackle - at least it is vastly stronger than just plain snap/trigger clasps that don't even lock together at all when closed.

We got this for our 35 pound dog who likes to move around a lot in the back seat and hates seatbelts. Unfortunately this was not restrictive enough and she was able to climb up on the backs our our seats etc. Fortunately we had some friends for dinner who were complaining about the harness for their Samoyed not working well. So we traded. They seem pretty happy with the results, and so do we. I'd recommend this for larger dogs. It is well made and easy to use.
