Item built to fulfill its purpose. I liked the round hand grip at one end & long handle for leverage. The combo shows a desire to produce a useful tool. It was the existence of this tool that enabled me to purchase storage pails.

I received the bucket opener this afternoon and tested it on several 5-gallon food grade buckets this evening. I generally have difficulty removing the lids but they popped off without much effort when I used the opener. The flat "hammer" part made it easy to close them back up tightly.It is made from aluminum and is definitely a good quality tool. It is also lightweight when compared to some of the others I have used.Keep in mind that it is 8.5 inches long. I have used other bucket openers in the past that were slightly larger and was a bit surprised when I saw how small this was. The item description clearly stated 8.5" so it was entirely my fault that I expected something bigger.The size does not affect the way the tool works. I actually think I like the smaller size better because it is easier for me to handle and is easier to store when not in use.I would recommend this to anyone who regularly opens and closes large buckets. If you are purchasing bulk food for long time storage (e.g. prepping) this is a must have item!

It’s light and durable, perfectly suitable to open pail easily rather than damaging my fingers when trying to open the new pail. I will use it anytime when working on fast food.
