Five star for Ubuntu/Mint XP and 7
No hesitation with us recommending this for Ubuntu/Mint 17.2: plug n' play and just enjoy... running Mint off one USB and having the wireless off one of the other USB's in the notebook is gratifying: absolutely, over the last two months or so we've had this no problems an great/consistent wireless speed: FIVE STARS! On the other hand, Windows (XPSP3 & 7Ultimate) have been problematic: using this adapter with indigenous WZC, or the Mediatek supplied configuration utility - yes, I updated from their website - resulted in continual disconnects from both the XP wireless laptop and the Windows7 wired desktop. Five stars for Linux... don't hesitate to purchase. Edit 10/30/2015: 3 star average rating (0 for XP/7 - 5 star for Linux) upgraded to 5 across the board. Unsure of the problem with my previous router but given the variability of home wireless connections, unsure of what it could be. WZC and Mediatek utility working flawlessly with continuing rock solid linux. "Hello John... thank you for the attention. Yes also thought this very very strange! Recent change in a router and now running full "N" has eliminated the XP and Seven connection problems so now all three OS's operating flawlessly. Will now attempt to upgrade the rating and the review. Great wireless USB and GREAT PRICE. Thank you!"

Fixed my WI-FI issues in Windows 10
Having upgraded my custom Windows 7 desktop to Windows 10 last year I have not had any problems until it came to using WI-FI. My previous network card (TP-LINK TL-WDN4800) gave me multiple issues including not connecting to my remembered network automatically, speeds and signal dropping overtime and just not working. Getting tired of these issues, I searched for a network adapter that was compatible with Windows 10 and I decided to go with the Panda N600. Once it arrived in the mail, I took the necessary steps to remove my old network card (disable device, uninstall drivers, shut down computer, remove card, etc.) and placed the N600 in the rear USB port of my PC. Booting up the PC, the device was already ready to use. Um, wow. That was easy. Using the adapter, I no longer ran into the issues I ran into my previous card and using it for six hours on a single boot I have not had any signal or speed issues. If there are two complaints with this device, it would be that the blue LED is a bit bright (nothing electric tape can't fix) and that the device gets a bit hot overtime. Other than that, I highly recommend any Windows 10 users with WI-FI issues to get this adapter. It's simple and it works.

Works Great On Debian Testing With A Little Fix
I was miffed because out of the box, this adapter was not plug-and-play with Debian Testing Linux. It recognized the adapter, wifi connections were shown, and it would connect to my router, but there was no internet. After going through countless help guides, I found an easy solution, something about an issue inherently on long names cutting off in the mac blah, blah, blah head explode, so here is the fix; As root (sudo or su - root, or whatever it takes to get your peas boiling), enter this into terminal: "ln -s /dev/null /etc/systemd/network/99-default.link" without the quotes, and reboot. And it works like a dream, so try the fix if you can't get connected. Speed test shows near the same speeds I was getting with a wired connection. Linux friendly (almost) = A+ Update 12/14/2018: I was wrong about the speeds. This is where I take off a star. You will get around 45Mbps download which for most applications is fine. If you are running games via Steamplay to devices though, it may be a bottleneck. My laptop's wifi gets 120Mbps which matches my ISP's speed package, so this is how I know this adapter struggles with full download speeds. Also, I switched to Manjaro linux and this adapter worked out of the box, no fiddling with command lines needed. I still highly recommend it.

Overall very happy
Excellent product. This worked fine without any issue in my CentOS 7.3. It was just plug and play; connected to my wifi; I have dual band wifi router, so I tried both the bands and it was just seamless. I did not have to install any driver from supplied CD ( I have latest CentOS 7.3). I tested the speed via speedtest.net and was getting decent speed, around 50-60 Mbps on 5GHz band; 2.4 GHz was around 10-15 Mbps. Moreover, seller response was super quick when I asked question on install process. Overall very happy.

Speed went from average of 12 to 50 mbps!
My old laptop was getting download speeds of 6 to 16 mbps (on a really good day) when I was paying for 45 mbps speeds. I averaged about 12. I tried updating my wifi drivers, changing the channel, didn't do any good. Then I thought for the price, I'd give this product a try. I was blown away. I am now getting 40.00 + speeds. The internal wifi card that came with my laptop just couldn't do the job. I am running Windows 10. I didn't bother with the installation cd. I plugged in the usb stick, disabled my internal wireless. Very simple. I may decide to update the drivers, but everything is working fine as is. Thank you Panda. I thought I was going to have to replace my laptop. Note - in order for the Panda to find my 5 ghz network, I went into control panel, network and sharing, right click properties on the panda wifi , configure, advanced, and then channel - selected 5g only. (for some window versions, it would list 802.11 ac ) The network disappeared for a second, and then Panda found the 5ghz. I'm now getting the full 50 mpbs I paid for.

Panda Works w/Dell Inspiron Desktop!
After trying an expensive D-Link that was advertised on Dell's site as working with their computers and having nothing but issues - I even paid someone to set it up, because it wouldn't work - I purchased this much cheaper Panda and sent the D-Link back. The Panda was simply "plug and play" and has worked like a charm ever since! When I switched internet providers, the only problem I had was that it didn't like the broadcast channel and my internet company had to keep changing the channel on the wireless router until the Panda found one it liked (it was 11 in case you have this problem) and then it saw my network. Would recommend Panda Wireless to everyone! Great price and powerful! Works with my Dell Inspiron 560. Keep up the great work Panda!

So far so good, worth the cost.
Recently updated to Windows 10, and upon doing so my old (and very out of date) wireless adapter was no longer functional. Item arrived on time, and was very simple to use. It did include a disc and detailed (but small) instructional book. I just plugged it in, entered my password and was connected in seconds. It's actually performing quite a bit better than my old adapter (which would stop functioning several times daily. I've been able to stream HD video, while having a download running in the background with several web pages pulled up without any interruption to performance. Stable, which is good and the product quality overall seems much better than even Netgear or Belkin adapters I've used (which feel flimsy and cheap). Only downfall is that it didn't give me the option to connect to my 5ghz connection (defaulted to the 2.4ghz, and the speed difference is noticable). *** EDIT: 8/10: You do need to download the drivers if you plan on using the 5ghz connection with Windows 10. Easy enough to install from the disk that's included or you can reach out to the company directly for the drivers. Regrefully the performance of the 5ghz connection on Windows 10 is horrible. I'm stuck using the 2.4ghz connection now until they release a future update to help with the performance. Because the performance issue isn't mentioned anywhere in the product description (but the product does state that it's fully compatible with Windows 10) I'm reducing my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. **** Edit 8/16: Panda has reached back out to me citing that their driver is 100% functional with the 5ghz connection on Windows 10, and the issue encountered was due to my wireless settings. This contradicts what they previously stated in our communication. Reducing this to 1 due to the conflcting ifnormation and customer service issues this company has. I'll be purchasing another adapter from a seperate company that is 100% compatible with Windows 10 on a 5ghz connection.

Works out of the box Ubuntu 22.04 Linux
With the update to Ubuntu 22.04LTS, the internal 802.11 card no longer works. As I wait for a firmware fix from Canonical (that "makes" Ubuntu), I still need IEEE 802.11 (wifi) connectivity to the Internet (and web). This Panda N600 Dual Band (2.4GHz & 5.0GHz) 300Mbps Wireless N USB Adapter worked without rebooting the computer nor requiring any special driver or software, and the graphical user interface network connection manager successfully connected the computer to the wifi access point and the Internet/Web. I have no information as to the long term durability of the Panda adapter.

A great Linux fallback
I use this device for my desktop. It also works great for linux installs where the native wifi adaptor needs additional support/drivers. Allows me to complete an install and get the rest of the hardware support before unplugging for safe keeping.

Works with Linux (Ubuntu)
Purchased this due to he the built-in laptop wifi adaptor having issues with Ubuntu Linux, this works out of the box plugin and start using on Ubuntu 20.04. There was no need to install any drivers or compile etc in my case.
