Works great for replacing dangerous RIFA caps
I really only needed one of these, a 0.1uf cap, to replace a RIFA capacitor in an old Apple IIe power supply (Astec). Fortunately that RIFA was still working but it had the cracks and age that meant it was probably ready to blow and make the house smell when it did. A little preventative maintenance with a soldering iron is all it took.The leads on this (for the 0.1uF) are narrower than the old RIFA but Apple/Astec laid out the PCB with another set of through-holes for that component that are the right size so it worked flawlessly. Otherwise I guess you could bend out the legs and make it fit anyway but for this application it wasn't necessary. I expect this should last a good long time and not "fail short" like those RIFAs were prone to do, or releasing the magic smoke in any case.

A good Selection
Nice Variety of X2 across the line safety caps rated at 275vac. You'll need a Maginifier to read the print. (but that's normal for today's components. I use these on old tube radios to limit EMI interference like Switching power supplies (wall warts), LED lighting, TV's with poorly filtered Power Supplies, and florescent tube lighting. Heard as Hissing and Hums and Buzz and picked up from electrical outlet wiring.
