The evolution of the Pathos spear gun continues with the Laser Open Pro. This spear gun comes with ergonomic D' Angelo II handle for left and right handed use. The sensation of high accuracy in the water prevails when using this gun. It is targeted toward demanding spear fishermen who require smooth and powerful shots. The Handle D' Angelo II, is a low profile handle with stainless steel reverse trigger mechanism that adds an extra 7cm (2.75") of arming length. This spear gun uses a reverse style mechanism with trigger and fully polished steel mechanism. This results in greater band stretch and overall more-gun in a smaller package. The Pathos Laser Open Pro comes standard with a 6.75mm stainless steel Sandvik shaft with shark fin tabs, single flopper and tri-cut tip, along with two 16mm (0.63") bands with Dyneema wishbones, which results in a powerful shot. The muzzle is open, for circular bands and the fully sharkskin finished anodized aluminum barrel is very rigid with large inner diameter walls. The tube is applied a special treatment that hardens and gives a roughness to the touch, like a shark's skin and makes it very manageable to harsh open water. The aluminum barrel has 1.25±.05mm wall thickness. The gun has a removable rubber loading butt, reel base and a shaft rail for better shooting accuracy. Overall a great spear gun is available in multiple sizes and is covered by a 24 month limited warranty.

Awesome speargun! 110cm
I did a lot of reading about different speargun s and went to a few shops to check out different setups. I really liked the pathos design. It is a rail gun with a simple seeming design, but what makes it special are the minor details in the design. The reverse trigger allows the spear to sit further back in the gun and provides more band stretch for the same length gun. Also the entire trigger is stainless steel. My previous gun had a plastic trigger cartridge with stainless components, after about 6 years that plastic cartridge cracked and the trigger let go of the loaded spear. The pathos is much more rugged! Also it seems like the bedliner does quite a bit for quieting the gun. It fires with a dull "thud" not what you expect an aluminum rail gun to sound like, usually there is a metal clank when they fire. The included spear has a rest tab which makes loading the euro style gun as easy as a typical American gun with a loading but extension that allows you to hip-load.Another nice thing is that there are some aftermarket parts for this gun suck has beefed up trigger internals for higher strength bands.

This is going to be the best bang for your buck
This is going to be the best bang for your buck. Rig it with some good mono and you will do great. Recommended for rockfishing (norcal) anything open water you are going to need a whole different rig.

Bad factory configuration and the store does not correct it.
Hello, I bought a speargun pathos laser open pro 110.With the expectations of having acquired an article of quality, well configured to be precise and trustworthy for spearfishing of barracudas, amberjacks and maji maji from 5 to 15 kgs.The first day of fishing was a disappointment and absolute failure, failing barracudas at a medium distance and losing valuable prey.I have a speargun cressi comanche 90, with open muzzle and two bands 9/16, with which I never fail those shots and I can see that it has more power and range than the pathos 110 that I recently bought.obviously the pathos laser open pro 110 comes very badly configured from factory, 16mm bands are at 300% when they should be at 350%The shaft with sharkfins 6.75mm has no rigidity, a factor that is very important to improve the accuracy of the speargun.I make these criticisms because it is a large speargun (110) which can be used to make captures at good distances but unfortunately it does not look like the separgun described in the advertisement.
