Great Prodcut, Fast Shipping
I have a tablet and Desktop at work. I have a personal tablet dock and have the need to switch from my tablet to my desktop regularly. it be came cumbersome to switch the plugs between the machines every time I need to change from the desktop to the tablet and back. This device does it all with the push of a button. Fantastic!

Great kvm switch
So far so good. This is the 5th kvm switch I have purchased in the last 2 months and it's working great. Switches fast and no screen flicker; no delay with the mouse or keyboard when switching.Prior to the purchase of the d links I had returned two iogears and two belkins because they were defective in some way; didn't switch the mouse or/and keyboard or/and screen flicker. One problem with the d links is the vga connectors extends out too far; when used with my lab top I have to support the weight of the connector with a book because my lab top has no thresded screw support so the connector tends to tilt down and fall off.Other than that, so far is a great working kvm switch.

D-Link 2-Port USB KVM Switch with Audio Support (KVM-222)
If your computers are Windows 7 and Windows XP pass up buying this KVM switch. You have to start each computer one at a time and wait for each computer to see the keyboard and mouse otherwise you may have boot problems. Most computers won't boot up without the keyboard and mouse attached. Try the TRENDnet 2-Port DVI USB Type A KVM Switch and Cable Kit with Audio, TK-214i or the Linkskey 2-Port DVI USB Audio Microphone KVM Switch with QuickSwitch Remote Button (LDV-302ARC) The Trendnet TK-209 KVM Switch with Sound and mic works fine that's what I am using now. I have two monitors so I can't comment on video change problems but my wife uses the Trendnet TK-209 KVM switch and I haven't heard any complaints about video problems.

We have a number of these switches by various manufacturers. D-Link seems to have the best handle on the simplicity of the function for which the switch is used.

Severe Ghosting
I had ghosting issues, no matter what combination of resolution & refresh rate I used. This seems to be an issue with many KVMs, but I was hopeful because of this unit's good reviews! No such luck.I would happily pay $100+ for a simple KVM switch that is able to produce a picture as crisp as plugging directly into the PC, and allows soft key switching. Has anybody found one?

does the job, but has critical design flaws!
The product works well from the standpoint that it displays without issues, translates keystrokes properly, etc. - no complaints in that respect. I had significant issues with those areas using a generic product that led me to purchase this product in the first place. However, before you purchase, be warned about these issues:1) it has a softkey switch - hitting the CAPS LOCK key twice will cause the session to switch. This would not be an issue except that the switch will occur EVEN IF THERE ARE KEYSTROKES IN BETWEEN THE TWO CAPS LOCK KEY PRESSES. In other words, if you are a relatively fast typist, as I am, and use the CAPS LOCK key when typing a 3-letter acronym, such that you press caplock, letter, letter, letter, caplock within a second or so, your session will switch over to the other computer. THIS IS EXTREMELY AGGRAVATING, AND THERE'S NO WAY TO OVERRIDE IT. I've attempted to contact D-Link for a solution, but they have been unresponsive.2) the cable that plugs into the sound port is pretty short. So if your VGA port and your sound port are not on the same side of your computer or laptop, or right around the corner from each other (on my laptop, the sound port is on the right side, close to the front, and of course the VGA port is on the back), the cable won't reach.Since I got this at a fairly cheap price, so I won't take the trouble to return it; however I do not recommend purchasing it if either of the above are going to be issues for you.

Works Perfectly
Short and sweet.............. It works perfectly as advertised. Being used with a Windows 8 desktop/Windows 7 laptop in a Dell docking station with a Logitech cordless mouse/keyboard combo.
