Super 73 Z1 Electric Motorbike, 36V Lithium Ion Battery 500 Watt Rear Hub Motor, Full Throttle E-Bike

I spent the afternoon riding around woods, fields, gravel, grass, and varying types of paved roads...some old and bumpy, some newly paved. Bottom line...I love this thing. I paid $995 for it when it had a $404 off coupon. It’s worth $995. It’s not worth anything more than that though. Here’s why:It’s advertised as being ready for adventure...I’m not sure how anything is ready for adventure when it has NO suspension. It’s a hardtail frame and the forks are rigid. Seriously...no suspension and add in a rock hard seat...I’m not sure what Super 73 was thinking with this setup. I’ll be modding in a set of non rigid forks at some point. As is makes for a painful ride and this hardtail/rigid design just doesn’t make any sense for it’s advertised purpose. This is my main gripe and why I think it should be permanently priced at under $1000. It’s a cool style/frame/look but honestly there’s nothing about it that makes it worth more than $1k tops. No display or app...no storage...no lights...no suspension...etc, etc. I get it...this model was stripped to make it cheaper, which is fine, it just needs to be sold at a cheaper price to match what it does, and more importantly, doesn’t have.The good:It’s only 68 pounds but for me it feels much less (I’m 5’6” 145 with a variety of body injuries/ailments). It feels similar to the BMX bikes I grew up riding in the 80’s/90’s. Easy to carry and maneuver. Even with my ailments I have no problem carrying this up and down a set of stairs to get in and out of house, and found it easy to toss into back of my small SUV (with seats down). This is one of the reasons I bought it...lightweight and easy to maneuver. I had to give up vintage mopeds bc I was struggling to haul around even 100 pounds of two wheeled metal due to injuries. Started looking at ebikes even though I wasn't really into them...took a shot on this one bc it resembles an old moped...and I’m glad I did. I do plan to mod it down the road to get a little more speed and to address the previously mentioned suspension issues.I’ll update this as I spend more time on it...only arrived yesterday. Was out for hours today and covered a lot of ground, battery was still in the green when I called it a day. 20mph max but its got quick acceleration if not on an incline. It also pedals really well, which I was surprised by. I road some trails I wasn't really allowed to be on and switched to pedaling whenever passing dogs/people. Pretty smooth pedaling! Couldn’t get it up a hill though...using throttle and/or pedaling...had to walk it up, but expected that to be the case so didn’t care. Fat tires did great on the trails.I need Super 73 to start selling batteries. It’s ridiculous that this isn’t an option and I almost didn’t make this purchase bc I couldn’t buy a second battery.That’s all for now, hope this was helpful.Update: Got it Friday...rode it sat/sun...it’s now Monday morning and lets just say any and all parts of my body that come in contact with the seat are in terrible pain. Still love it but not gonna lie...I woke up grumbling about knocking a star off my review for the bruising and pain. I’ll leave the star for now.

I loved this thing, then it started shutting off randomly and the throttle would not work. Noise when peddling and horrible clunking when trying to use the throttle and it just stops. It is not cheap by any means to only last a few months. I purchased this directly through the company website and have read on the forums of similar problems and no resolution from the company. Work hard spend your money and get a great amount of fun but only for a very short time. 😔 UPDATE: The Company was very responsive and kind in working with me to trade out my troubled bike for a new one. I have yet to fully put the new one to a longer road test but so far so good. I appreciate them working with me so I did not loose out in the long run.

I really loved this bike initially. Rode it to work and back and enjoyed the ride. Unfortunately after charging all night, on the second day of owning the the throttle goes out. The throttle will accelerate but will just stop after that. It’s really disappointing because I just got it Wednesday and was looking forward to riding it Memorial Day weekend with friends. I hope to return it so I’m not out 1000 bucks :(

Has been cutting out intermittently as if the controller may be going bad (I’m an engineer). I’m contacting support and will update this review when I receive a solutionUpdate: Contacted Super73 support and there was little to no help. If you don’t pay a “qualified e-bike shop) to assemble than there is no warranty. Thankfully Amazon customer service was great and allowed me to exchange for the same model. Time will only tell if this one will have the same issues too.

Took it out for a test drive for a 3 mile ride {6 all together}. after a mile and a half the lights goes down to 2. I'm saying okay I'm mainly riding on flat pavement and I should be fine. After a quarter mile I lose all throttle but I still have 2 lights. I'd stopped turn the power off. waited a little.turned it back on. 2 lights. Started pedaling and press on the throttle, gave me a quick boost and throttle goes out. What a F-ing pain in the a$$ to ride it back home.

It was really easy to assemble out of the box, so I was up and running in no time. The bike does not require a license or registration to ride, so you don't have to worry about making a trip to the DMV. I am super excited to have mine for the summer.

This bike is worth the money. Riding it around has been a lot of fun. Instant smile every ride. Can’t wait to use it all summer long! Super73 you are killing it!

Great bicycle. Even better when a suspension fork is added. I use it now more than my car and can’t imagine not having it. The battery is great and you can easily pedal as well.
