MultiTech Systems MultiModemZDX V.92/56K Data/Fax Modem (MT5656ZDX)

I have used these in the past. I thought I was replacing one but it was still good, the problem was the phone line. I will keep thids as a spare.

I actually retuned this modem and ordered the voice modem option (....ZDX-V). which costs a few dollars more. I use this device, along with Identifone, to block unwanted (in other words "all") telemarketers. After I enter the unwanted number my phone only rings once, then caller is blocked. And I can block a virtually unlimited number of callers. Voice modems like this MultiTech Systems unit are becoming increasingly rare. A non voice modem will not work with Identifone.

it does not work

This modem works great for sending and receiving fax. I don't have to use it often but having the external allows me to reset the modem without restarting the PC. MultiTech has had great tech support for me in the past.

easy hook up working fine

Solved my problem. I needed a modem that would stand up to my heavy usage. I wore out several "portable" modems. This one is doing the job.

Bought this to replace an older model that needed to be reset about once a week. Just plugged it in today and seems to be working great.

Came in fast.no setup was required. works like it is supposed too.Perfect for faxing with propriety software.l
