Phil Perry "Say Yes"
Phil Perry “Say You”Whenever I listen to Phil Perry sing ANYTHING, I am zapped into my Jackie (Jackie Cooper) from “Our Gang” frame of mind. He was in love with Miss Crabtree, and when he saw her or thought of her he’d just sigh, and say “Geez, Miss. Crabtree!” Phil Perry’s singing always makes me sigh and say “Geez Phil, sing that song!” Having said that, let me say that his Cd “Say you” is excellent, he, Phil, is just one of those singers who in my opinion can sing any song. He does it well on this Cd, 10 tracks with appearances by Chante Moore (Where Is The Love) and Najee (tonight just Me And You).Track listings1.You Send Me2. Where Is The Love (featuring Chante Moore)3. Tonight Just Me and You (Featuring Najee)4. You Belong To Me ( My pick!)5. Say Yes (title track)6. Just A Little Bit7. The Long And Winding Road8. Exactly how many times did you want me to "SAY YES"?
You know, he is one of those artists that can be enjoyed anywhere and anytime. He is just that smooth, and this cd was no exception! I loved it best when I was driving to work, to the store, to anywhere! It was so relaxing and put you in a better frame of mind. If you are at home, a nice glass of wine or just to sit back and relax your mind...it is so comforting. He is one of those artist who just never got the recognition that he deserved, but that's okay, because he has the talent to sustain all of those newbies and keep it moving. To Phil...one of the best in the business, because you have the talent and the soul, and, for me, just make sure that you keep it together and keep it moving, cause you are truly worth it. Your core fans would agree with me here!

Good, Mellow Phil
I have followed Phil musically from the Montclair's "Dreaming's Out of Season" album, through "The Hang" DVD with other great artists, to this, his latest release. Phil has moved to rearranging the "standards" of the sixties and seventies and adding his unique vocal touch. To me, this CD reflects the maturity of excellent musicianship, solid lyrical songs, and vocal interpretation. If you are looking for music that you can play during a gathering in your home, when you are "just chillin'", or are on the road in your car, then "Say Yes" is for you.

A MASTERPIECE
A True artist, who can sing as good as the best. All the Phil Perry albums have a way of making you feel good, and this is a true statement to his accomplishment here. From the first note of classic style to the closing with a (now he owns) classic. Each note, each step in the selection process, maximize his talents, and his voice adds to each note. Phil Perry is in a class almost by himself, but it so nice to here a singer sing. GREAT WORK, may this continue and he have much success.

PHIL, PHIL AND PHIL, WHOA!!!!
I've been a long time fan of Phil Perry. He has one the sweetest voices around. I love this CD. You Send Me is my favorite, because he took Sam Cooke's masterpiece song and put his own updated twist on it and believe me he made his own masterpiece! My father was in the car with me and he heard this CD, and he commented that Phil had a beautiful voice and for me that says a lot! Here's a man that virtually does not comment on any of my music and he made that wonderful comment about this CD. His voice is very unique in way that when you hear it, you know it's Phil "The Voice" Perry. Please get this CD and believe me, you will love it as much as I do.

Not What I Expected, Smooth/Contemporary Jazz
This was "recommended" by Amazon after I purchased Paul Hardcastle. I listened to a preview of two or three songs and bought it without further listening. This is NOT smooth jazz at all. It's sort of like an older type R & B singing that does not interest me. I am not saying its not good music, it's just not what I was looking for.

Like the old and the new combination
Really enjoy listening to this CD. Love Chante Moore's voice too, so a real bonus. Great hearing re-mixes of tracks previously done by great Jazz singers such as Will Downing and Anita Baker!

A major disappointment.
This is very sub-standard Phil Perry. Poor production and lacklustre performances suggest Phil should be looking for a new record label/producer for his next product.

Jazz by Phil Perry
If you like jazz, you'll like Phil Perry. Having first heard him on facebook, which offered a free song from "Jazz" on my page, Phil Perry is definitely a soothing voice in a busy world. His rendition of old classics, including The Beatles and Simon and Garfunkle, put a calm twist on old favorites. Mr Perry makes it clear that the old can be upgraded to a sound that we can reconnect with. The voice of Phil Perry can remind of others in the field; is not as distinctive as he could be; however upon listening to his renditions of the old and his unique songs in this album, he is definitely a voice that can standout and remain uniquely its' own. Back up singers and the instruments add to the flavour of this jazz album. A notable religious presence and that of black heritage add a further component to the music that is hardly intrusive but a welcome addition to any atmosphere.
