Booster Polar Ice After Shave Lotion

This is the nice refreshing scent that I used to smell in barber shops when I was a kid. In addition to the Baby Boomer nostalgia factor it has a pleasant menthol scent without being too heavy (it actually wears off kind of quickly). Too bad it's not more widely available but compared to what prices are for similar products at the grocery or drugstore it's still a good value.

I was given a bottle of this Polar Ice After shave as a birthday present from a friend last year. (They bought it here on Amazon). I had never seen or heard of it before. This is a very refreshing, old time barbershop scented after shave that is soothing and fragrant without an overwhelming coolness of too much menthol. Its scent is truly nothing like anything I have smelled before except in barbershops when I was a kid. The Boosters brand is supposedly a shop staple in Canada where its made and has been used for decades. Truthfully, I don't really care that much about its history or where it came from. I only know that I was very pleasantly surprised by this aftershave and it has become one of my favorites. At 14 oz for around $10, its the best smelling bargain you will find in the after shave market. I would recommend this to any man that likes the old time spicy smell of a barbershop lotion, or, as a gift for the man in your life that enjoys it. One thing is for sure, you won't find it easily anywhere in stores. Chances are you will be getting him a gift he has never seen or heard of, but will love using. I highly recommend it, and also recommend buying at least a couple of bottles at a time to make the shipping worth it.PS: There are other scents by Booster in this aftershave line I have not tried. But I did pick up a bottle of the Oriental Spice by Booster that is a little sweeter and less nostalgic than the Polar Ice, but has a nice strong and refreshing scent that I feel will be sure to please. I have been using this after shave as part of my "rotation" for several months now. I really like the light, somewhat mint/menthol scent. Very cool when applied, no burn at all.I will definitely be re-ordering and getting a bottle for my son as well.

This aftershave lotion is very good. Granted my wife does not care for it. It does great for a refreshing feel after shaving and I don't seem to break out with it. I will definitely be getting more of this after I run out.

1940's- 50's barber shop aroma, soothes, tingles - name says it all ... terrific product.

the aftershave smells like aqua velva, though it is less heavy on the alcohol and a lot nicer on the skin. thoroughly recommended for the price.

This is rhe real deal the same stuff they used in all the babershops in Toronto in the 50's, 60's. Buy it you'll like it.
