Perfect fit and zero leaks
Perfect fit and zero leaks. If it leaks you either installed it incorrectly or gauged the transmission case when removing the old seal. Installed on the passenger side of my 2004 Impala SS. Will work on the driver's side of any GM 4T65E transmission.

Great quality Seal.
Installed this finally along with my New Heri HD axle, and new USA made Timken wheel hub... excellent quality. I used a Plumbing pipe "cap" to seat it... the seal "set" tools are mostly junk unless you spend mega $$ on them... forget harborfreight on that tool took the old seal to Home Depot and found a cap that was the same diameter... worked like a charm..

Fit, is not leaking. Practically OEM. Be careful ordering, as the seal on each side of tranny is different.

Sealed leaking CV shaft on 2001 Impala
When replacing the front CV shaft on our 2001 Chevy Impala, I must have cut the seal when putting the shaft back into the transmission, because I was leaking transmission fluid onto our garage floor.Long story short, I removed the shaft (again), replaced the seal with this new part, and the leak was gone!

Almost an exact fit
Hub came as ordered and on time. However, the mounting flange of the hub is slightly thicker or the heads of the lug nut studs are thicker than the OEM hub. This made using the OEM washers unusable as it caused the mounting bolt heads to hit the lug nut studs and hub would not turn. Leaving the washers off there was enough clearance for the hub to turn freely. However this caused the dust cover to rub the rotor so it had to be bent to prevent it from rubbing the rotor. I was afraid that grinding down the heads of the bolts may cause weakness in the bolts and therefore optioned to leave the washers off. Other than what was mentioned it works fine.

Seal holds well.
Pain in the rear to drive in because of the location, had to buy a metal pipe fitting to get a hammer on it because of the location, but it does it's job.

If you replace the cv shaft then you should replace the shaft seal. Be aware that the driver side and passenger side seal are different. So do not order 2 of these.
