Frustrating, took over an hour to set up, but in the end it works better than the original
Love-hate with this remote. The hate part came from the set up, which took me over an hour. The love part comes from the fact that it works like a charm and even allows control of settings the original Mitsubishi remote didn't. We have a large, and older model of the Mitsubishi Mr. Slim. The unit still works fine, but the plastic shell of the remote is disintegrating and doesn't work anymore. We don't have a wall panel, so we need a remote to control the unit. The instructions that come with the remote sound like they've been translated, so deciphering them is confusing. Instructions mention entering codes on the keypad, but there is no numeric keypad anywhere to be found. I sort of figured out that the buttons might correspond to numbers (much like phone numbers correspond to alpha letters), but that only worked some of the time. My second attempt was the auto code find, which allows the remote to go from one code to the next until it finds the correct one. Instructions say it will beep when the correct one is found. . . no beep, but at one point the a/c magically went on. It went on in the fan setting, and all the remote was able to do was raise or lower the fan speed. The unit was just operating as a fan and still no a/c. The fact that it did turn the unit on though, is what gave me hope. I made myself comfortable and went manually one-by-one, starting from 0001 until I found the magic 0523 code that works. Yes . . an hour inputting codes 001,002,003 etc . . . all the way up through 0523. Tedious and boring as heck, but I get stubborn and determined . . . :) * ! * ! * ! now for the big reward for all that time and frustration . . . this remote now lets me select from 4 fan speeds (my old remote that came w/ my unit, only had high or low). This also has an auto setting that is spot on, and will raise, lower and stop the fan to keep the selected temp. I am so very happy with this find. I spent close to 90 minutes cussing at this thing, but in the end, we are cool, happy and oh so grateful being able to operate and control our a/c in these hot and humid summer months. Dec 2018 update *** Purchased a second one of these for a smaller Mitsubishi Slim unit in the bedroom. The first thing I did was to use the same 0523 code that worked on our main Slim unit. It didn't work. I looked at the code list that came with this remote and the first group of codes they have listed for Mitsubishi are 0001-0045. 0003 worked ! Just like in my previous review, this new remote not only works, but allows control of more features that the original did. I was willing to go through the same tedious process I did before b/c of these extra control features. This time I got the extra features after only several code tries. Win-win.

Great remote but the wall mount clip is extremely weak
I have replaced all of our LG remotes (which would die in less than two years) with these. The display screen is much better than the LG brand, these are backlit and they show the set temperature as well as the current temp and have MUCH! better Mode icons. Tip: When setting up with a code test for ALL functions, One code allowed the remote to turn power off and on and set the temperature, but did not allow adjustment of the air direction vanes. I tried the second code number and Everything functioned properly. I will try to give an update review on longevity later. Two years from now! If I remember? 🥺

Works with AC not listed anywhere
Freaking great remote. I have a very old AC model "Miller - Millenia" 36000 BTU that is not listed anywhere in this or other remotes. I just took a chance. The Auto Search of this remote is so good you don't need the code list. You press one buton and it starts searching. I went to look for a beverage and it found the code by itself. I just did some fine-tuning and that's it. Just a great remote. It has a great large LCD screen. It has auto everything with a large screen and easy interface.

It WORKS! Less than 5 min set up
Amazing! Previous renters lost control and I couldn’t get the AC fan to go on a higher speed. Ordered this control ahead of time to get ready for the summer and I’m so glad I did. Read the good reviews and had my fingers crossed. And it WORKS! Took me about 5 min to set up and only because I didn’t realize that the front part of the control slides down to reveal the buttons XD. The 3rd code for the Sanyo AC I have worked for me! The directions were Super specific, in short: just press the key “select”, put your four digit code (it’ll flash then stop flashing), and you’re done! Press the on and off key to see if your AC responds and that’s it:) you’re good to go. Also comes with a little mounting thing where you can set your control down so that it doesn’t get lost. Best of luck to everyone :D

Worked like a charm for my Mitsubishi PKFY-P24NHMU-E2 indoor unit
I had the hardest time looking for a real Mitsubishi remote anywhere else. Newer ones were costing in the hundreds. Used one on EBAY from CHINA was 100? I was like Heck no..! A wall unit was almost 400?! . So for the heck of it , I decided to try this remote (since I am cheap, yep I said it), I mean come on, for 13 Dollars where could you go wrong. You spend that buying coffee for a week (or more). If it didn't work I was going to sell it at my next yard-sale and get three bucks out of it. But to my surprise, after doing the auto search on it. It worked! Do the auto search by reading the instructions. OR: Hold down the select button for 5 seconds and it will start from 0001. I just let it go through each set of numbers. And on the 3rd or 4th set, I heard the beep and I stopped the search by hitting any button... sure enough after going back a few numbers (because I didn't stop it fast enough) it worked. Can't go wrong with this remote, I may buy a few more just to have some on hand in case this breaks or gets lost in the couch or something. Good purchase... !! FINALLY junk that works lol...

Didn't work for me
I have a common Mitsubishi Split Ductless system. Tried every one of the Mitsubishi codes and even some others, but none would work. Nice lighted display and it might work for your system. The key layout could be better, as it has the same problem as the original Mitsubishi, important keys are under the cover. Why is a cover needed? Returning it.
