Worth the work!
I put the pump in a clear five gallon bucket, with a lid that has a removable cap for the wire an tube access, and I can see the resevoir level. I plugged the system into a surge protector that I turn off when I leave, so I don't have to worry about overflow while I'm at work. And will hopefully extend the life of the pump. It's a bit tricky mounting the sensors as high as I'd like on my 55gal, so I angled the float 45degrees for a higher water level. And the refill tube mounts horizontally to the lid of your fish tank, not vertically to the glass/rim of the tank. With these things in mind, this has been a great system for me!

Piece of garbage
The pump worked fine for a month and then stopped working. It could no longer push the water and I tried adjusting the flow rate which did not work. So I have no ATO and going on vacation soon. Will never recommend or buy a Kamoer product ever again. Customer service was useless as hey wanted a video; of what I have no clue so sent pics. They never acknowledged after we went back and forth over the video. If I could give a negative start I would.

great ATO so far
I never write reviews but so far i have been so pleased with this ATO that i just had to share. This kamoer ATO one is functionally similar to a certain well regarded german branded ATO for half the price with a small advantage that i feel make this unit worth considering. The float switch and optical sensors have their own mounts, this allows me flexibility to place the emergency float at a height that is potentially more useful, such as just above where the sump level would be when the return pump is off so it can be left active, useful for people who do not have tank controllers to turn off the ATO automatically. I prefer not having to disable the alarm and having it set to alert me to a real emergencyThe unit isnt as user friendly to open but I will update if I find any useful settings inside, such if there is a pump time limit setting.I set mine up to run a 12v peristaltic pump that feeds a float valve in the sump. the unit can run most small 12v electronics.EDIT: I have yet to crack the thing open (partly because it is a snap together clamshell design that needs to be pried apart carefully), but I have confirmed that the unit does have a default time limit for the length of time of a few minutes that the pump will run, adding peace of mind for anyone who might want to run this unit with a 12v solenoid or other larger water reservoir.time will tell as far as reliability.

Really nice ATO don’t know why I waited so long
ATO is one of those things that you always feel you can live without and once you get one you love it. Installation is easy and pretty straight forward. The float switch is the overfilled kill the system ( safety) and optical sensor is the level switch. Used a 5 gal bucket with a lid to hold the water. Has kept up nicely. Very happy so far.

Solid ATO for price
I like that it has a solid pump that would be easy to replace, the fact that it has both a water level sensor and float for overfilling. Loud beeps when things are going wrong. Overall a great value for the price.Only complaints: I would not suggest this on an All-In-One tank (I put mine on a Innovative Marine Nuvo 20) and the float cannot be modified so the issue is you need enough of a space between the sensor for water level and the float valve and the proper height to keep the final chamber at in an AIO to not make noise means that the float will trip every so often. So it thinks it is overfilling when it is not. I would only suggest this on a sump system where the float can be significantly higher than the water level sensor. The other thing is that the tube holder sits to where the water makes a lot of noise splashing down in comparison to an osmolator. So as long as you have the right setup for this and do not mind some noise with an ATO, then this is an awesome ATO for you.

Awesome ATO
I was very hesitant to get this ATO for my 30 gallon fish tank because of the negative reviews. Since I really needed one I just decided to get it and tried it. I must say I’m very happy I did get it, it works awesome and very pleased with it. I definitely recommend it to people looking for a ATO.

Optical sensor failed
After 2.5 years optical sensor failed and the pump was stuck on dumping all the fresh water from reservoir into the sump. The float switch did not stop the flow as it should have. Was able to reuse replacing the optical sensor with a float switch for the time being.

This is not good.
This is not good, it is a waste of my money and cannot be used when I get it back.

WONT STOP BEEPING
The media could not be loaded. Have trying everything I can to stop it from alarming cleaned the optic eye made sure there was no water in it it will not stop. Pretty disappointing

Works perfectly for a year then nothing
Edit: pump just died, it almost lasted a full year I guess you get what you pay for. Changed my rating to three stars as it did do fine until two days ago.So far so good, it’s been working as intended, it’s keeping the water level in my sump at the exact level every day. The pump is very quiet which is a nice bonus I wasn’t expecting. The only issues I can see is that if your water line is high, then you may not be able to use the sensor clips because they need about an inch of clearance but this unit is perfect for a sump.

Works, but only sometimes
When I set it up it works great for a couple of days, then without fail, I will always wake up to the overflow sensor bring triggered in the middle of the night. Never flooded my house because of the two sensors, but isn't working as it should.
