Simple solution
This device is solidly made, and easy to "install". You pretty much just install and forget about it. It comes with a great deal of information on phone radiation, which you can research elsewhere as well. We know phones emit radiation.. this is a simple solution to help protect yourself and your kids.I received a discount on this product for review purposes. All review content is my own and not altered due to that discount.

Protect yourself and your loved ones with this cell phone emf radiation shield.Definitely worth the investment!
This speak safe device gives me peace of mind about all of the radiation that we are exposed to on daily basis with our cell phones. I used my headphones quite a bit. as do my children, and the radiation exposure was something that I thought about. I never knew these radiation shields existed and it's definitely worth the investment to keep us healthy. Nothing on the packaging explains how speak safe helps to absorb the radiation but it's a plastic clip with two pieces of metal that snap over the wire. It does hold securely to the wire and I'm not concerned with the risk of it falling off. There is quite a bit of weight to it and they have included a small clip to help hold the weight of the speak safe from pulling your headphones out of your ears. This device takes no batteries or charging and is ready to go anytime you need it. It's easy to switch from headphones to headphones as needed. There is a tiny hole between the seal and if you insert a small pin or toothpick you can pry the halves apart. I did notice and removed one star from the rating because it will not fit over any of my thicker flat cable wires. All of my bluetooth headphones have a flat cable and are what I use the most so I cannot use this as often as what I'd hoped. I'm still very pleased and impressed with the ingenuity of this invention and can't wait for version 2 which hopefully will accommodate thicker cables as well.I did receive my speak safe at a promotional price for testing and evaluation purposes but my review is solely based on my experience and honest opinions of this device.

Its nice to know that she is free from radiation right ...
Received this item at a discount for doing a review on it. I put this on my granddaughters phone who always have earphones in her ears. Its nice to know that she is free from radiation right now. She always had a bad habit of talking on her phone while pumping gas. Always was afraid of sparks. Thank you for such a safe product.

Good product..
It's a bit heavy just like the company warns you about but my husband quickly got used to it. We also had a hard time getting it to stay locked on the earbud cord at first, it kept popping off. But it seems to be staying now. It's nice to be able to use our iPhone earbuds and know they are now safe, the sound quality is better than an air tube headset. Would buy again!

Piece of mind
Seeing this is protecting something I can't see, feel, touch or hear, I feel that the company has done their research and believe this will protect the end user

I'll use it! Better safe than sorry.
So I've always been one of those people who was a bit leery of cell phone conversations for the mere fact that I am honestly afraid of radiation from the phone affecting my head. Thus, my behavior for years and years has really been not to talk on the phone much at all. Alas, it is almost unavoidable in this day and age, even with texting and FaceTime. Though I knew I was probably getting a (un)healthy dose of radiation when I used the phone to stream music with earphones in, reading this company's literature reminded me -- the radiation from cell phones is not to be taken lightly. I feel lucky that I was able to receive this product at a discount and try it out in exchange for my review.I have know for a long time that ferrous materials will soak up radiation, but until now, I hadn't seen a product like this available to the general market. Other reviewers have described it correctly -- it's a two-piece capsule, not quite as long as an AA battery, that clips easily over the cord for your wired, hands-free handset (otherwise known as your headphones). Because there is ferrous material in the core of the device, it does add weight to the headphones, and that's why it comes supplied with a clip. I put the clip above the device so it would not pull my earphones out of my ear. The fact that it is heavy and tends to do that is the main reason I couldn't give four stars at this time. The new design of iPhone headphones really doesn't stay in my ears, so added weight just makes them falling out more likely. The clip helps, however. As far as efficacy goes, that is where time will tell. I imagine it'll be more of an anecdotal situation of me NOT getting problems from using a wired headset over time rather than any actual hard data. I don't have the equipment to measure how the device is actually working when it's on the headset. I rather wish I did. There are some photos like this in the literature that this company so graciously supplies via email. I think it would be cool to be able to see "before" and "after" photos of my own head, with and without the device! As it is, I will take what they say as read. I've been using a cell phone since the early 90s, and I think the test of time will be what happens in the next few decades to the brain tissue of avid cell phone users who jam the thing up next to their heads and talk for hours.Where i expect to use the SpeakSafe device most is when I am streaming music while at work, when walking, and when exercising with other people around me. Sometimes other people do not need to hear what I'm listening to, and I often listen for hours with the headset. I now cringe at the amount of radiation that might actually have been going into my ear canals. Into my ears! I had no idea! Aren't the temporal areas of the brain process sound and speech into meaningful bits? I wouldn't want to lose that due to radiation damage. Yikes. If you're a parent, and your kid uses his or her phone or device all the time with headphones in, I'd seriously consider getting more than one SpeakSafe. Kids' physiologies are much more sensitive to radiation, and these days, I never see kids without their eyes, ears, and hands on devices, ever. This would be a really ho-hum present to get from Auntie, but I'm thinking about it for the holidays for my niece and nephew. My sis would understand, and better safe than sorry, right? It's better than socks.Pros: Good design, good literature, let's just take it as read that it worksCons: A little heavy for iPhone headphones

so I was very happy to find this product that's supposed to block most ...
I've been concerned about the amount of radiation my child is exposed to, so I was very happy to find this product that's supposed to block most of the radiation from devices she's using. It's not something that you can see working, but the research done on it is reassuring and it's one of those things that can give you peace of mind that you're at least doing your part to reduce the risks. This is small and very easy to clip on to the headphones-- it is pretty heavy for the earbuds, but the clip does help to take the weight off & it works even better with her headset. It feels well made and durable, and I want to put it on the headphones of all my family members. Now I'll be on the lookout for the invention of a radiation shield that goes on the phone itself... Product received at a discount in exchange for my honest review.
