I recently came across this product on a cruise in Baja. The chef was very talented and creative and used these chili threads to both flavor and dress up a couple of dishes. They add a bit of savory red pepper spice (but not too heavy) and a splash of color to a dish, especially a bland-looking green or yellow prep). Some call them chili grass, but they are actually very thin slices of red pepper. Delivery was quick and one package will dress up a load of dishes.

These are a great garnish for deviled eggs and salads. I keep forgetting to use them.
