NOW Foods Supplements, Berberine Glucose Support, Combined with MCT Oil for Optimal Berberine Absorption, 90 Softgels

This is my first experience with berberine. I read that it had similar effects as popular weight loss meds like Ozempic or Wegovy. This is how I found out about berberine. My insurance is denying all the medications for weight loss so I decided to try this out. I started taking them Feb. 8, 2025. This review is being written April 1, 2025. In that time I've lost ~50 pounds. Which sounds like a lot, but I'm a VERY large man. So don't get too excited. Along with starting to take berberine I adjusted my diet significantly (this is probably the most important part). I completely cut out carbs and sugar (not counting apples and bananas, other fruit). I increased the protein and veg intake. NO BREAD!!! NO DESSERTS!!! NO SODIE POPS!!! Over time I found that I do not crave food as much. I feel full sooner. My food intake has decreased quite a bit. Taste buds have changed and food tastes better. Milk is sweet now. Its all very exciting. Now, all this does come with a price. Like many others have expressed there is a slight bit of stomach discomfort. I've felt nauseous and have had to run to the bathroom multiple times and it wasn't to vomit. Whatever came out of me was from the depths of Hell. It was NOT solid. It is the total opposite of solid, if you catch my drift. And at first, I didn't read the symptoms and made mistakes but over time you start to feel it before it happens. So, it IS manageable. However, I would not take this on a road trip, a long movie/play, at work, school, etc... Unless you can handle a stream of waste that feels like your butt is a super soaker. So, there is risk involved. Everyone will react differently. All in all, I will continue taking this. I feel like the benefits outweigh the gastric drawbacks. I am ready to lose another 50 pounds and then some. My advice... try it out. You might be surprised.

What I like most is that it feels more consistent and “active” compared to the patch method I tried. It fits easily into my routine, and I don’t have to think about it once I’ve taken it. For me personally, it’s been a much more effective option for glucose and craving support than the patches ever were. Overall, I’m sticking with this one—it just works better for what I was trying to achieve.

This worked instantly and amazingly for appetite and craving control, but unfortunately I had to stop taking it due to severe headaches, irritability and depression. I tried taking it at different times of day to alleviate these symptoms as I thought they might be due to low blood sugar but they were too severe to continue.

The supplements are wonderful, but don’t order in the summer. Two orders arrived melted together. This was an Amazon problem as they melt in the hot delivery vehicles. This is not a manufacturing problem.
