Great Product!
We have a 10 year old Yorkie who started having a major digestive disorder condition about two years ago. After the vet tested him for everything under the sun, it was concluded that he merely had IBS. The vet's office started him on the Purina Fortiflora, which was expensive and not really working all that well. It's success on our dog was sporadic, at best. While researching whether I should continue shelling out the $30/month for the Fortiflora, I came across this product. I decided to try it and am so glad I did!!!!! It has worked wonders on our little Yorkie, and it took about a week for its effects to really become apparent. We also changed his food from the Blue Buffalo chicken & rice to the Blue Buffalo lamb & rice, which has also seemed to help him greatly. He has finally been weaned off the Prednisone (which was starting to really affect his thyroid) and no longer needs Metro for acute flare-ups because he simply doesn't have them any more. I'm so glad I found this product and have our bouncing little boy back.

... prefer Purina Fortiflora but this is priced so much better and they still eat it
The dogs definitely prefer Purina Fortiflora but this is priced so much better and they still eat it, so I'm sticking with Proflora.

Seems to work for my dog
I got an 18 month old rescue dog and about 3 weeks later she had a terrible bout of diarrhea. I thought it might be caused by anything from diet change to eating something on our walks. She recovered in four or five days, but almost exactly a month later, she had another, worse bout of diarrhea. I was about to take her to the vet when it cleared up. Two weeks later it hit her again and I gave her this Probiotic daily for 2 weeks. The diarrhea cleared up in 2 days. About 2 1/2 months later, another flare-up. This time I started the Probiotic immediately and fed it for 5 days. The diarrhea cleared up in 3 days. 2 months later, the pattern repeated: Probiotic immediately continuing for 5 days, diarrhea stopped after 1 day. So, I think the Probiotic helps her gastrointestinal tract to right itself. I am encouraged by the fact that the time between disorders has greatly increased and the duration and severity decreased.

Good product!
We tried this product for our dog instead of Fortiflora. It is made in the USA which is important to us. It seems to be working just as well. I bought more. I recommend this product.

Diarrhea Again
We have been using Purina Fortiflora and got our golden retrievers diarrhea under control. I seen the ProFlora and it looked possibly better, so tried it. Sadly after a few days using it gave our dog diarrhea so now we’re back at square one.

Works for us!
We used Fortiflora for a few years, as my pup aged. Shih Tzus have sensitive tummies anyway. I think that Fortiflora was on backorder, or something, so I tried Proflora. It worked even better for my dog. I could not be more pleased. And, bonus, it was less expensive - win win. I was afraid that he wouldn't like the flavor - no problem. Someone said that it has a sugar in it. That's okay, for almost 16 years old, if he has a bit of extra sugar, I'm okay with it.

Better price than Fortiflora, just as effective.
Our Bearded Collie has had gastro-intestinal issues for his entire life, until our Vet recommended another brand of dog probiotic (which rhymes with Murina Porta-Plora), which worked very well when added to his dinners. But the other probiotic has become more and more expensive and we decided to try ProFlora. We have had nothing but good results since the switch. I would say that both are eqally good at treating his GI issues, and for the significant difference in price ProFlora wins.
