Lamont leather gloves are great! Comfortable and durable.

For me these hit the perfect sweet spot: Very protective but also very agile. They can handle sharpening a chainsaw blade, dealing with nasty old rosebushes or anything short of crunching (inadvertently) broken glass, but allow enough dexterity to write, but on glasses, or pick-up and affix wood screws. Ordering another pair, right now. I've used heavier gloves, and I've used very nimble ones, but these are nearly the best of both.

I'm 82. Still very active, and thus needing gloves to protect my (albeit callused palms and fingers) hands when I'm doing yardwork or otherwise want to keep the further calluses at bay), I ordered these. With the reinforced palms, pulling lines or gripping hoe/shovel handles of the like is handy, so to speak. And, from decades of experience, Wells Lamont is the gold standard in men's work gloves. And, hallelujah, come in triple-XL size. But you're unlikely to find them at the local feed-and-seed or bigbox construction places. Which is important, because my handspan is nearly 11" - which, in the end (pardon the expression) means that there's no way I'm getting my hands into anything smaller than XXXL (check the sizing chart for the various sizes - palm, circumference, hand-spread, when you consider these or anyone else' gloves). I really like to have all leather gloves for certain tasks and chores. These fit me well and stand up to some very abusive use. The only thing I don't like is I feel they are a touch pricey making them just a good value. A couple bucks cheaper and they would be a great value and 5 stars.

Quality gloves. Thick enough but not too thick. Keeps my hands dry and fingers protected from getting tore up. Love these gloves.

Nothing beats leather! So happy I got these. No more ineffective gloves from the big box stores (unless they carry these high quality leather gloves).

Super durable, pliable and great fit! These are evenly stitched with strong seams. I have no concerns about these gloves lasting.

I wanted to weigh in on the quality of these gloves. I usually use large size gloves. Almost all of my work gloves have fit slightly tight and these are no exception. In picking a size I would size up on these. I don't know how these could be of better quality. I planted 40 shrubs, including cutting out 40, 2 ft. circles of sod, moved 8 irrigation heads, installed 130 ft. of concrete block edging. I have dug, scraped, and leveled over 100 ft of trench mostly using a small shovel and my hands. I also hosed them off and out at least 3 times cleaning off and out the mud and soil. Not one stitch came out. The finger tips are miraculously still in completely stitched and no excessive wear. After they dry out they are a bit stiff but soften up pretty quick. I bought two pair so I could finish the job and have some yard work gloves and I wont need the second pair this season. Here are pictures of a new glove compared to a glove I did all this labor with.
