4" inch Turbo Boost Leak Tester - Leak Detector - 6061 Billet Aluminum - 30 PSI - Check Test Intake Charge Pipe Pressure Leaks - Includes Both Tire and 1/4" Air Fititng

I used this boost leak testing tool on a Ford 6.0 Powerstroke. Pulled the intake tube off the turbo, cleaned the mating surface, ensuring not to get ANYTHING in the turbo, and clamped to the specified torque spec from Ford for all turbo CAC tube clamps (about 12ft lbs) and then a little extra just to be sure I’m not getting injured. My stock turbo makes about 25psi max, so I put 20lbs shop air in and listened for leaks. Using a spray bottle with soap and water will help find smaller leaks. Both my MAP hose’s clamps and hose had very prominent leaks, so I replaced the hose with a stainless braided piece, and clamps with fuel hose clamps(so much smoother and consistent than worm clamps). That fixed my main leaks. This product is perfect. My son drives a MK6 VW TDI and you can purchase a boot that will fit this to any turbo size, at your local hardware/plumbing store. No complaints except that the fittings didn’t want to thread all the way, or even close to all the way into the cap. I like things to have a little more thread purchase when putting pressure to them, but they still worked great with no leaks of their own. Be advised that your boost system will bless off air naturally at a “typical” rate for your vehicle or setup. It won’t just hold all of the air pressure forever, so using the water/soap mix to find leaks is best practice. Check out KC Turbos’ video on YouTube for more in-depth usage and leak-detection. Great value for the money. I can’t see this wearing out ever, but if it did, replacing the PSI gauge would be cheap and simple. Everything else should last forever.

Worked great and found several boost leaks on my 2012 ram 2500 with s368 turbo. Just buy it if you’re questioning yourself like I did. lol

I used a little pipe dope to put the gauge in the cap, but it might not be needed. Clamps feel good quality, it fit snugly together and perfectly in my 3rd gen swap 4th gen 6.7 Cummins. This was exactly what I needed with the angled valve stem, that was a game changer as space is limited but I found several leaks and fixed my issue. Good quality for a fair price, easy to assemble with no leaks. I’d definitely buy it again if I lose this one.

Does what it promised. Found all sorts of boost leaks. Cost me a lot more money due to the parts I had to replace 🤣, but brought back a ton of power.
