Is this tanner water proof?

Hi Julie, Thanks for reaching out. We recommend no contact with water for several hours after applying the product. I would say 6-8 hours to be safe. The base ingredients are the same of that of an organic body lotion. It is not super thick or oily to create a layer on the skin as sunscreen would be. I hope this helps! You mentioned product absorbing into pores. Is it ok to use on my face?

It’s perfectly safe and good to use on your face. The only thing I notice is after it develops if you have large pores (most obvious on my nose) they may look darker too. Like little pin pricks of darkness in my pores. It’s ok though because after I wash my face a couple times they fade to their normal color. It’s worth it to me to have the color without the sun!

What shade of tan will this give? Light, medium or dark?

Hi! This tanning lotion is a buildable product. The first application will give you a light tan. If you desire a darker tan, simply reapply it again the following day and so on until you reach the desired color. Once you have the color you were after, simply reapply every 4-5 days to maintain the tan. Be sure to wait about 5-8 hours before going in water after applying the lotion.
