Run don’t walk!
Omg best 15 dollars ever spent! This is a longer review so if you want the BLUF: you can achieve that cherry cola color on previously balayaged hair (root/bangs area). Smells a bit strong but worth the touch up. For reference; the piece I pulled in the photo is the color I started with. Did not stain hands (no gloves used) or bathtub (rinsed immediately if color splattered on tub). Minor staining under fingernails/cuticles Recommendation - at least 2 bottles for full saturation if you have a lot of/longer hair like me. In depth: As a low maintenance hair girly (I don’t like going to the salon often) I love what this color did for my hair. You can definitely pick up the cherry cola red undertones especially against chocolatey dark brown hair. I did get my hair done last month with a fresh balayage but unfortunately the red/auburn color has already faded some because I do style with heat often. I use heat protector and 10 in 1 but still, red is typically the first to go. So a lot of the pieces had already lifted some but I figured they would hold onto this color pretty nice. Honestly I only focused the formula on the bangs area/top of my head. Really worked it in and saturated those pieces and WOW. It took away the orangey/brass color immediately after my wash, it’s a very noticeable difference especially in person. Plus my hair feels incredible! Just follow the instructions exactly and it’ll be so great of a payoff in my opinion. This is day 1 and you can definitely note the difference of where I concentrated the color and which piece I needed more on. Again for reference, the strand I’m holding is what I was working with on top of my head too. How the bangs look after application are basically what I left with during my last salon appointment a month ago, and I LOVE it. Definitely get 2 bottles if you have a lot of hair like me (Mexican hair that hits mid to low back). I would recommend applying this in front of a mirror so you can be precise on which pieces you feel need a bit more concentrating on than others! Just be mindful of what you’re wearing (something stain resistant) and if it spills/splatters on the sink or tub make sure you immediately rinse it and clean it up. I believe thats why I didn’t experience staining like some of the people on here did. I did my application pretty much by feel in the shower, and if I had just done it in the mirror I’m sure I could’ve saturated a couple of those front face framing pieces a little better with one bottle. Will still be repurchasing to get the rest of my hair on the same page. Thanks for reading, hope it helped!

First time buyer
I really like this gloss! I used the Bittersweet Dark Brunette shade and it gave my hair a richer, deeper brown color without looking too dark or flat. My hair looked noticeably shinier, smoother, and more refreshed after using it, almost like I had just had my color done. It was easy to apply, and I love that it helps tone and revive my brunette color without committing to permanent dye. It also made my hair feel soft instead of dry. The color does gradually fade with washing, but for an at-home gloss that lasts a few weeks, it definitely works. I would purchase it again whenever my hair color starts looking dull or needs a quick refresh.

Easy Way to Refresh Hair Color
I picked this up for someone in my family and was impressed with the results. The color looked rich and even, and it added a noticeable shine without making the hair feel dry or brittle afterward. It did a great job refreshing faded color and made the hair look healthier overall. The application process was straightforward, and the included instructions were easy to follow. I also liked that it wasn’t a permanent commitment, making it a good option for anyone who wants to enhance their color without a major change. If you’re looking for a simple way to boost shine, deepen your color, and give your hair a fresh salon-like look at home, this is definitely worth trying.

Stunning!
I LOVE this gloss. I'm naturally a mousy light brown color, but I go to the salon every 6 weeks to have a rich brunette put in. Unfortunately, my hair fades really quickly as I have to wash daily. My first use of this got me exactly back to a rich warm brown. I've tried CelebLuxury and Keracolor before, and neither brand could match what one application of this gloss did for my color. Super easy to use, even for someone who doesn't color their own hair regularly. Will obviously stain if you get it on your shirt, walls, etc., so just be mindful of that. Did not stain my bathtub during rinsing, but I held my head over the edge and kept it under the faucet. Highly recommend if you're wanting a WARM reddish brown!

Effective Toning, But a Bit Drying for My Tight Spiral Curls
I recently tried the Kristin Ess Signature Hair Gloss, and overall, it delivered on its promise of brightening and toning my hair with just one application. As someone with tight spiral curls, achieving the right balance of tone and vibrancy is crucial for me, and this product did make a noticeable difference in that regard. The application process was straightforward, and I appreciated the convenience of achieving salon-like results at home. The toning effect was visible, and it added a beautiful shine to my curls. However, I did notice that my hair felt a bit dry after using the gloss. Being blessed with tight spiral curls means that my hair tends to be on the drier side naturally, and unfortunately, the gloss seemed to amplify this dryness. While I appreciate the toning benefits, the dryness was a concern for me. To combat this, I followed up with a deep conditioning treatment, which helped restore moisture to my curls. The fragrance of the gloss is not overpowering, and it didn't linger for an extended period. The results were noticeable, and my curls had a more polished and refined appearance. If you have a reliable moisturizing routine for your curls, this product could be a great addition for achieving that salon-fresh look. In summary, the Kristin Ess Signature Hair Gloss is effective in toning and brightening hair, but individuals with naturally dry or curly hair may want to be cautious and follow up with a hydrating treatment. It's a product with potential, and with the right hair care routine, it can enhance the overall vibrancy of your hair color.

SINGLE GREATEST HOME HAIR COLOR EVER!!!!
GOT ORANGE HAIR? GREAT HAIR DYE FAIL SOLUTION! Love this gloss. I plan to buy it every month for the next two years while I grow out a hair dye fail. I have orangey hair that can't be bleached because my strand test turns green, gets hot, and smokes... My only choice is to cover it up, grow it out, and cut it off incrementally. I wanted something that would cover up the orange and not dye the roots. I saw this in a Brad Mondo video, so I decided to give it a try: - Before photo: My hair fail... I have level 8 blonde hair which I accidentally dyed orange, then had to cover up with black for a couple of years. I got the black out during quarantine using Metally B + 10 peroxide and washing with Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo over and over again. I then covered it up with level 8 Clairol Natural Instincts, but it grabbed an uneven level 4, lifted my hair too much, and turned the new growth orange too. - Round 1 - Middle photo - I did an intermediary step of using the Smokey Topaz color to tame the orange. It did a little.. but still looked orange in the sun. I let it wash out and was relieved to find that my roots had not lifted to the point they were orange. The roots stayed the same color and washed out completely in about 3 weeks. The rest of my hair was back to orange in about 6 weeks. So it basically went back to the before photo. It is important to note that they have a video online on how to apply this gloss... Watch very carefully exactly how they handle the hair while it is applied and how they let it sit. I had a hard time getting started the first time and wasn't careful enough on the first section... There was a considerable amount of mid-strand breakage there. Not a big deal since I was planning on cutting it off anyway... But if you are trying to save the length, have a friend help you. It might even be worth getting it cut first so none of the dead dry ends tangle and cause breakage further up the strands. - Round 2 - No photo - This time I used Bittersweet (I knew from the Brad Mondo video it wouldn't be black... it's a really pretty ash blonde color... but it will take the brass out of anything which is probably why the model is black... that hair type has a lot of orange hair issues.) I loved it as soon as I saw it, even when it was wet. It evenly coated the roots and the new growth. I also loved it when it washed out 4 weeks later and left my roots unlifted. I almost thought about just leaving it and not dying it, but it would have probably kept washing out and I wanted what was left to be filler for the next layer. I will say that the dyed part I cut off looked very "flat" once the gloss part was gone. I had so much mid-strand breakage round 1, I decided to cut off as much as I could first, then apply the gloss. When I cut off 4 inches at the salon yesterday, I looked at it on the floor and the color was so flat and even I had a hard time seeing the individual strands on top of each other. The roots I had covered up were still "normal" though... So once the dyed part is all gone, flat color won't be an issue. I did notice that the color was a little streaky in spots the first week. Probably needed a second coat. - Round 3: After photo. 3 weeks in on Round 2, so the first box of Bittersweet was a good primer for the second box. No streakiness. I applied the gloss 2 days ago and took a shower yesterday. This is my result. I have about 3 inches of the old hair color that can't be bleached left to grow out. I have a few strands of grey here and there that the dye doesn't stick to, but not a big deal. I don't see any of the streakiness this time around... Probably because I did the second box 3 weeks after the first box so it was a primer. Also, it came off my bathtub very easily with Comet.

I was pleased
I liked the tone it did. I’m originally a natural light blonde that’s now dirty blonde with age lol. Tried “brightening” it up a while ago, and now it’s pretty brassy. I was expecting more, but I think I’m expecting a miracle cure. It did leave my hair feeling dry when washing it out, but with a good conditioner after, it was nice after drying my hair. I didn’t feel any residual dryness and it did look shinier. The toning was subtle, but noticeable. I would absolutely buy this again. This picture is after usage.

Save $ from the salon!
I absolutely love this hair gloss! It made my dark hair look so much shinier and healthier without feeling greasy or heavy. The color looks richer, it helped smooth frizz, and my hair felt incredibly soft afterward. It gave me that fresh salon look at home. Definitely a new favorite!

Easy to use and leaves a beautiful shine, with no damage to the hair. Definitely, I must buy it again.

Orange but excellent!
Love this stuff! My hair was naturally similar to this colour to this but it’s been going grey and dull. I followed the directions exactly and left it one the least amount of time suggested. It was more orange than I expected but after one extra wash I love it! The package states it does not cover gray, but it did cover all of mine. I hope they keep making it! My hair doesn't seem dry or damaged at all, it feels great!

Good but I would say unattainable at the moment because of the delivery restrictions
I like this product, but this company doesn’t deliver it anymore at my location. I don’t know how can I actually buy it here? It’s just so inconvenient and I really like this product but it’s just that I just counted have it anymore. I don’t know what to say.

i’d avoid unless you’re really desperate specifically for auburn/strawberry blonde hair
it’s alright as a hair dye i guess but it didn’t really do much to my hair colour- but got some fun seeing my hair auburn. for a few days. but to be fair i had dark blonde hair before using it i noticed i lost a bit of hair after using it but that could just be stress from life - or me constantly fixing my hair parting . also if you’re in the uk it’s shipped from america, so takes a long time to be delivered. And you can only use this dye once , as you need to mix two bottles together and once the chemical reaction happens you can’t reuse it. plus you only use like a quarter or half of the dye so it’s really expensive but it was hard to find other auburn hair dyes, so it’s alright i guess. if was cheaper and shipped from uk i’d give it a 4 star rating
