I got this as a little distraction that involved mental stimulation and creativity. Plus to help with some hand tremors. I’m definitely not musically inclined, but it is so easy to play. I’ll probably get one for my grandkids when they are a little older. The sound is a little better than expected for what it is. You won’t be holding concerts, but it sounds smooth enough. Some tines resonate really well and some are short. Overall it is fun to play. And I’m glad it came with several little songs to learn on.

This works better than I thought it might, but the pitch on a couple of the "tines" is off. I can use it for students as a motivating novelty, briefly, but wouldn't want to train their ears this way. The sound is pretty good for its size. Any age range could do this--easy to use--except maybe preschoolers. It fits as you see, right in the palm, so can go anywhere.

THIS WAS SO GOOD. I wanted to keep it for myself because it was a present to my section leader for orchestra but couldn’t. It came with songs to learn as swell which I loved because she started playing it asap lol. Worth it for sure.

This was a birthday gift for our 8 year old and he loves it! Super easy to learn songs on and it comes with a small booklet of songs. Very cute size and fun beginner musical instrument that doesn't feel like it's for a little kid. Sounds great and us adults have had fun with it too!!

This is a fun little thing to pass some time when just sitting being bored. The sounds are louder if you have longer nails. My nails are woefully short and fingertips make the sound a bit muffled. I still have a nice time picking out melodies. I would buy it again - but a bit cautious for gift-giving.
