I’d pay a $100 difference to feel this good again. Let me attempt to explain to you ...
Hey, y’all! 👋🏻 I’ve been following the Curly Girl method and strictly cowashing for 8 months. I’m the girl who foolishly purchased Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Tingle Conditioner on Amazon for $11.99, when it’s $3.99 in stores and wanted to kick herself repeatedly after learning of this ignorance. Well, I used it tonight for the first time. Do y’all hear the angels? Cuz they’re singin’ Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Aretha Franklin all at once. Seven dollars-schmeven dollars! I’d pay a $100 difference to feel this good again.Let me attempt to explain to you the magnificence of this product. You know what it feels like when you’re on a road trip, and the last 4 exits haven’t had any gas stations, and you’ve had a super sized coke (or if you’re like me, 4 coffees), and you’ve had to pee the Atlantic Ocean for an hour? Then..... you find a bathroom. And it’s not a fancy bathroom. In fact, it’s like a semi-questionable stall that leaves a lot to be desired. But you don’t care. And then- relief. Sweet, sweet relief. It suddenly becomes the best 15 seconds of your adult life. You’re a brand new person, everything in life is beautiful and harmonious and nothing can stop you! Yeah- THAT feeling? Soak it in for a second. Let it roll over you. Cuz this conditioner experience? It’s 👏🏻better 👏🏻 than 👏🏻that 👏🏻No, for real. 8 months in, and I was beginning to cave. I have felt like I had a mysterious build up. likely all in my mind, but I FELT gross. I’ve done the acv rinse. I’ve tried the lemonade. I’ve tried no product, more product, less product, homemade product, expensive product, cheap product. I even ventured over to the The Curly Crew (Curly Girls! & Gents, Too!) group for a hot minute thinking I needed a new low-poo routine. The last 4 months have been MUCH harder than my first.Generally I give a product a few days before I rave or rant. But, y’all, my scalp feels so darn clean and refreshed. It truly feels like the first time I’ve washed it properly in 8 months time. I didn’t want to rinse it off my head. I don’t care if my hair looks like a sack of rabid cats tomorrow and forever more. I will embrace those rabid cats. I will make rabid cat curly girl hair the new trend. Beyoncé will be wearing rabid cat hair. TJs Tea Tree Tingle 4 life 🤜🤛 if you haven’t tried it, at least get some for an occasional cowash just because it feels so darn good on your scalp!

Great for psoriasis. HORROR for psoriatic arthritis.
I love this conditioner - it helps immensely with my psoriasis and has been a lifesaver given the dandruff typically associated with the condition. The only two issues I have are (1) the price. Online is three times the price you pay in store (something like $4 a bottle max). I don't have a Trader Joe's near me so I'm stuck buying it online. It's disappointing but not nearly as bad as (2) THE BOTTLE. Oh my god, I hate this thing. It is not made for someone with any kind of arthritis or grip issue whatsoever - and even my husband, who doesn't have arthritis, cannot get all the conditioner out. You cannot squeeze it - it's too solid and square. It's too tall to leave it upside down and, even if you manage to get all of the thick conditioner to the top, you have to open it up entirely to scoop it out with a finger. You'll leave at least three rounds of conditioner in the bottle at the end because you just give up on it. And, because it's a weird bottle, no pump fits it properly. I've tried, believe me. Everything about the darn bottle - more so than the price - is why it's getting 3 stars. If it didn't solve my psoriasis so well, I wouldn't buy it at all, but here we are.

Awesome for Co-Washing!!!
Wow, I'm in love with this conditioner! I started Co-washing my hair. I'm caucasian and have medium to thick straight hair. It's color treated and it's past my shoulders a bit. I've been interested in co-washing and wondered if I could do it. So after doing research on what to use and going by reviews I got 3 different products, this brand being one of them. This is by far my favorite, it's smells awesome, has no parabens, sulfates, salts, silicones or other harsh ingredients which is what I look for in hair products. And it has good slip which is what you want with co-washing so that there isn't any friction while trying to scrub your scalp. It also moisturizes very well but not too much to weigh my hair down. I wish I lived near a Trader Joe's...but the nearest one is 2 1/2 hours away so I have to buy this online. By the time I add in gas price and wear and tear on the car it would probably be more than just buying it here off Amazon. But if I happen to be near a TJ's while on a trip I'm stopping in to stock up. This is a great product!

4c natural hair LOVES this stuff!!
After reading several reviews I decided to cave in and give this conditioner a chance. I really try to avoid from bandwagoning on hair products because I like to keep my hair regimen as simple as possible. Anywho, I used this conditioner as a cowash for my tight coily 4c hair and I must say that I am very VERY impressed! The conditioner is fairly thick so I mixed half and half with water (just a preference) with a few teaspoons of baking soda as a cowash. First thing I noticed was the immediate slip on my hair strands as I detangled my hair. My hair detangled with so much ease and this conditioner left my hair with coils all over. I'm currently doing an overnight deep conditoning on my hair as I type and plan on rinsing out the product in the morning. But my results thus far have confirmed this a staple in my cabinent. I really hope trader joe continues to make such a quality product...this is a godsend for natural low porosity hair such as myself.
