Definitely worth it
Excellent tent. Able to relax in a dry, bug-free area while sleeping on an air mattress in the bed of a truck.A lot of people ask "will it fit my vehicle" questions (examples of vehicles are on the Napier site). We used this with a 4WD Ford F250 that has a cab-height canopy. The bonnet wraps nicely around the canopy, but it was approaching the limit for size. With the bonnet on, we were able to open the rear canopy window. The longest straps did not reach the front of the truck, so we hooked them to the lower lip of the truck bed just behind the cab. The side straps fit fine at the wheel wells. The bonnet opening is just large enough for a full-width tailgate to fit through.Tent is very well constructed. The floor is made of a tarp-like material, and wraps up the side about 6 inches to help keep water out. Doors on driver side and at the rear. Window-only on passenger side. Bonnet door at tailgate. All doors and windows have zippered privacy flaps (including bonnet side). Top has 3 vented panels that do not have covers. There is a separate rain fly that covers top panels and 3 sides to the ground, with zippered sides that can be opened. The rain fly does not cover the bonnet area. The rain fly adds privacy and helps keep the test warmer on a cool day.Setup can be done with a single person, but easier with two, and takes just a few minutes. 4 Solid fiberglass poles provide the structure for the roof, and 4 metal poles provide the vertical support on the corners. Heavily constructed plastic pieces connect the 4 fiberglass poles in the center, and the fiberglass to metal poles in the corners.Tent does not need to be staked since it is attached to vehicle, but should probably be staked if there is nothing inside weighting it down. Tent is definitely heavy, so it's not practical for packing very far, though it can be used stand-alone (without vehicle). Comes with a properly sized zippered duffle bag with carrying handles, and stores neatly.

Best SUV Tent/Annex
Amazing tent! Very versatile and fits my 4runner perfectly. Love the feature of either using it attached to your vehicle or as a stand-alone tent when you need to leave camp for supplies. I use the tent as an annex/storage area and sleep in the back of the 4runner. Setup is a breeze and love the idea of having a living room, storage, and changing area.Make sure you seal the seams and properly stake the tent if you’re expecting torrential weather. One reviewer mentioned this tent is unstable in the wind. In my experience this tent was built to withstand the wind! The steel poles allowed the tent to remain stable and stood strong against high gusts. The inside contains 2 storage pockets, a gear net, and hook loop to hang a lantern.Highly recommended!

Functional and well-designed, only flaw so far is zipper failure at the curved bottom of one door. Recommended!
I spend about 50 nights a year in a tent, and after my old Cabela's Truck Tent (no longer made) wore out I researched and bought the similar Napier tent. After one season I can give it a fair rating.PRO - with three doors (two regular and one for the SUV) and one window it has great access and ventilation. The roof has one full panel and one half panel of screened material, making it good for summer but not as warm in winter. Two of the doors have rainfly shades that can be staked out, but the tent only comes with one set of poles and guylines. Quite roomy with nearly vertical walls, and I've managed to seat 6 people inside for short social visits. The carrying bag has an expansion zipper that makes repacking MUCH easier. Easy to set up, but you need to attach the rainfly before raising the poles if doing it solo.CON - the door zippers tend to snag on the zipper covers, and I've had one jam so badly that it is now unusable - lucky there's another identical door! Wall material is rather thin, and the rainfly has faded noticeably in one sunny season, but everything is holding up other than the one door zipper. To cover the outside of the truck door you must leave the heavy tube and straps zipped over it, which can be noisy in the wind if no vehicle is attached. All the other three windows are covered by the rainfly, so no water can collect at the bottom of the screen. The 4 main poles have the spikes at the bottom (!!), which is fine if setting up on dirt, but hard on ground tarps or if setting up on wood decks or stone.

Impressive tent!
I have used an older model of this same tent for over ten years. I put it to some hard use primarily in the deserts of southern California, Nevada, and Arizona. It held up well, but nothing lasts forever and it was time to get a new one. When this new one arrived I was impressed. I was expecting it to be as well made and cleverly designed as the old one, but there were a number of improvements that I was surprised to find. The pole system is much better. The combination of fiberglass poles for the top and metal poles for the vertical support is much easier to assemble than the all aluminum poles of the older model. There are two possible doors on the new one, up from just the one. I continue to use the one on the driver side, but I've only had this one on one trip so far, so I'm sure I'll try the other door too eventually. The star of the show however is the rain fly. It's pretty much a whole other tent! It's a handful to install the first time, in the dark with the wind blowing, by your self. But once you have it up and staked down you'll be ready to take on a serious storm. I was very impressed with the whole package. I spent a week on a playa in Nevada with this tent and it held up very well during many seriously windy days. It is the best tent I've ever had for truck (or SUV) camping. I recommend it very highly!
