Absolutely Satisfied...
The Hamilton Beach 45 Cup Fast Brew Coffee Urn is a lifesaver for large gatherings, events, and office settings. It brews quickly and efficiently, producing rich, hot coffee that stays warm for hours without burning. The 45-cup capacity is perfect for serving a crowd, and the easy-to-read water level window ensures you never overfill. I especially appreciate the two-way dispenser—great for single cups or continuous serving. The stainless steel exterior looks sleek and is easy to clean, while the locking lid and cool-touch handles make it safe and convenient to transport. Setup is simple, and the indicator light lets you know when the coffee is ready. It’s also versatile enough to serve hot water for tea, cocoa, or instant soups. Overall, this urn is a reliable, high-capacity solution that delivers excellent performance every time. Highly recommended for anyone who entertains or serves coffee regularly!

Having a party? This brews fast, is easy to use and makes really good coffee
I bought this for Thanksgiving where we had 50+ attending and a lot of after dinner coffee drinkers. I had purchased another brand (that I had only used once) and planned to use that for regular and this new Hamilton Beach 45 cup for the decaf. The big day came and I set up my old one (used once) and panicked when I realized after half an hour it was not working! Then the Hamilton Beach 45 Cup Fast Brew came to the rescue. I took it out of the box, hand washed, poured in water, coffee grounds and plugged it in. Within half the time of the previous model, this one had coffee hot and ready when dinner was done!I also have to mention I like the overall design of this one. It's a bit shorter and the handle to pour out coffee is very sturdy and good quality. I have no doubt this one will last a long time!

Good and reliable, worth giving it a try.
Good coffee pot. This is used at least 3 times a week at our church. We ordered high rated and good name brands before but they didn't function as they needed too and they leaked. It was challenging to find an alternative, if the "nice brands" weren't working then what. This, I'd recommend you give them a try. It's worked out well for us so far.

Solid FOUR stars
I've used my 45-cup coffee urn twice before writing this review - once for a wedding reception and again at Thanksgiving. The first use I filled it to make 45-cups, used a round filter spread out in the basket to keep coffee grounds from escaping. I plugged in the pot (an *on/off* switch would be fabulous, but no) about 45 minutes before everyone arrived, the pot took about 20 mins to percolate the full capacity. The coffee in the glass tube looked like "weak tea" so I removed the lid to look inside.Because the coffee basket sits low (at the 35-cup mark) the coffee grounds were overflowing but steeping - not draining from the basket. So..... I grabbed my 12-cup coffee pot from the kitchen and dispensed coffee from the urn then turned on my kitchen coffee maker to "keep warm", removed the coffee basket (yeah, burned my fingers) after it had drained, poured the other coffee pot back into the urn. Tah-Dah!Lessons learned - only make 35-cups or start early, pour off and replace the coffee to drain the basket, you still get coffee grounds in the bottom, and you can't get any more coffee to dispense when it gets below the 15-cup mark so you really only get 30-cups and you waste btwn 10 and 15 cups of coffee. We had the coffee urn on for 5 hours and it still tasted good - maybe because the lid locks on and seals well instead of "cooking away" the coffee?Thanksgiving I only made 30-cups, again using a filter (the basket drained, no grounds in the bottom!) and it was perfect (except for the last 12 cups you can't dispense so it's really just less than 20-cups of coffee).Pretty easy to clean if you have a deep kitchen sink with a sprayer (I do). I did run a lot of hot water through the dispenser to rinse coffee out of the glass tube.Overall my complaints are minimal and the coffee maker does the job quickly. I've figured out a "work around" when I need full capacity 😉Next time around though, I'll spend the money for the 100-cup coffee urn.

Great value for groups
I ordered this for my group that meets every week. We've been using about one coffee traveler a week from a chain coffee shop. This pays for itself in about 3 weeks. I used the 35 cup option (just a few ounces more than a traveler) and it brewed in about 15 minutes. It's easy to set up, easy to take down even when hot, and easy to clean. The best part is the compact size; most urns in this category are taller and more cumbersome.

Works great
Works great, we use it everyday. We had to buy a plug timer because it's only on or off. Coffee is Hot. Takes about 20 minutes to make 35/40 cups. Easy to use and clean. Absolutely love it!
