Works, fits, easy.
I always thought these looked like a waste of money. I couldn't image myself taking the time to put it on regularly or it working all that well. Then last year I ran across one from this brand in a clearance aisle for like $4-5. I bought it on a whim. Turned out it was the smaller, car size & I needed this one for my van. However, I threw it over my side of the windshield a few times so I could at least say I'd tried it & gotten my money out of it. Very quickly I realized I had "no ragrets". I was so annoyed at the other half of the windshield I paid full price for this one a few snows in. You would think I would have learned, but when I ordered it I didn't think the mirror covers would get used or be worth it. Well, I'm using the mirror covers now. I haven't had to scrap a window once since I started using these. The rest of my van is another story. I'm now contemplating looking for a full cover of some sort, or even just getting a tarp & some bungees. It's worth the money, and the effort. No more scraping, no more waiting for defrost to kick in. It's super, easy to use, drag over the window & shut the doors.

Works great.
I had one of these for my ford f150 but when I downsized to chevy colorado it was to large. I ordered this one as it was just a little smaller. Fits the Chevy just fine. Both of these Frost Guards are a quality product and I like the flaps that tuck inside the vehicle doors. They do a great job preventing the guard from blowing and flopping when snowing and windy. Also the bottom is long enough to totally cover the windshield wipers. Overall very satisfied with this product.

Sturdy, covers well, must for winter windows.
This is the best one I have used. I have an older one still works amazingly. I tried other, but I don't like the shields that don't have side support. I put mine up for frost or snow. I live in north country where it snows. I put one on at night, then take it off in morning, shake off the snow and ice. I put it in garage to dry during the day, they dry quickly. Then I take the second one, I take to work, put it on with safety flaps that go inside the door, that stop someone from stealing them plus the wind from pulling them. Then after a 10 hour shift. I pull that one off shake off snow and Ice roll it up, put on floor boards in back. Take that one home to dry in garage for next day. Best system for protecting my front window. The size is a great fit for my Jeep or truck. Will work on car, it will cover any vehicle. Once the the flaps are put in doors its secure from wind and theft. Easy to used just roll it up, drys fast the water just rolls off it. The pipe on side make it sturdy to put on or take off. Most styles don't have that, and to me it's a must.

Good but could be better.
The new FrostGuard is good but it could be better. For one, it could be deeper/higher. The width is fine, but it could be deeper to ensure coverage of the bottom windshield well and wipers.. The other thing, is the locking straps. I think they should be a bit shorter and you should return the over the mirror tension straps. As it is, in high wind, the guard can be pulled up from the windshield allowing snow to fall behind it as the only thing holding it down across the windshield is the straps on the sides and they easily pull out from the doors to the retaining rod. So, either shorten the flaps or add back the over the mirror straps to ensure a tight fit. Other than that, I use mine regularly. The internal bar structure on the sides makes it much easier to manipulate than the ones without that structure.

Great Item
I brought two of these for my grandsons it is well made I know the frost guard names years ago I purchased a few from QVC who by the way no longer sells them this is one item you will be glad you purchased it does work by keeping the snow and ice off of your windshield its well made this one you will have to put the frame together but its not a big deal comes with a case for storage I recommend saves a lot of time on those cold winter mornings no more scraping your windows

Performance better than expected
Perfect size for a midsize SUV with the extended extension covering your wipers with a 1/16” over hang. It’s light weight easy installation there’s a slight over hang on the sides easily combated by fitting the security flaps in your doors and let the gravity of the snow and ice due the rest the no scrapping involved. The durability and the fresh look along with a good with of a large towel to clean it makes it a great utility to have in the best of storms!

Super easy to use
I've had one of the original FrostGuards with stretchy materials for our SUV for years. Sadly my wife managed to destroy it one night after it rained and then froze and the stretchy cords that wrapped around the mirrors broke from being frozen. So I bought three new ones for all the cars in our family, a coupe with no window frame, a medium size SUV and a small sedan. These are a snap to install now since they just go in the door frame and you close the door over them. I was a bit concerned about the one I got for my coupe since it has no window frame and the window actually slides up about half an inch to seal the window after the door closes but it seemed like that last little bit made mine seal up fairlly well. It slips a bit more in high winds than my wife and son's cars do but it's fine. The side mirror bags are ok, they cinch into place but the only car they're useful on is my son's as he's the only one that doesn't have heated side mirrors. He had no issues with them on his car even during a heavy frost and appreciated not having to spray down his mirrors with ice remover since scraping doesn't work real well on side mirrors. Once they're in place, they're in place. As long as you put the windshield wipers over the bottom they're not moving. The first time I used mine it was during 50mph winds and it stayed in place just fine with a little bit of movement but not significant. It still kept the windshield clean and saved me a lot of time from scraping. Well worth the little bit of money spent and the fabric is very durable. It was frozen solid the first time I used it and thawed out just fine and rolled back up easily. Get one, you won't regret it.

Excellent Windshield Cover
I have used Frost Guard windshield covers for more than a decade. I live high in the Colorado Rockies and our winters are long and severe. After trying other covers I have settled on Frost Guard as the most reliable and easiest to use covers. They are pricier than most covers but are much stronger (important when removing from the windshield after an icy snowstorm, rather than a powdery one) and they have incrementally improved the design over the years to make them easier to put on. They also now more reliably cover the windshield wiper blades which obviously makes morning start ups faster. I have found they last about two winters here at 7300 feet elevation. We have brutal UV light which degrades everything less robust than granite, so two years longevity is totally acceptable. The package I ordered includes two exterior mirror covers I first thought were frippery but they have proven to be quite useful and robust during this year's record snowfall (over 300 inches and it is still early February). They have an easy to use cord to tighten them, holding tight against windstorms. They are super easy to put on and remove. Make sure you order the correct size for your auto and I think you will love these as much as I do. I use the XLarge for my full size RAM pickup and Medium for my wife's Subaru Forester and they fit perfectly.

Für unseren Pkw zu groß
Gutes Material, aber passt an unserem Pkw garnicht, eher für Transporter geeignet denke ich.

Size perfect
I bought this for a F150 and the fit was perfect along with the quality. I've had several Frost Gaurd's in the past but I bought a different less expensive one before this one thinking I would save some $ what a disappointed as the strap broke off on the first install. Definitely would buy Frost Guard again.
