It is vicious and you really have to be quick to rinse it off aluminium or it starts to damage it. Salt corrosion occurs I guess considering the salt base.

I can’t even begin to tell you how bad my rims were. It was almost yellow to golden with all the rust and deposits. I just sprayed this once all over and now it looks brand new! And it didn’t even take me more than a couple minutes from spraying, scrubbing and washing it off. This is liquid gold I promise. It’s worth every dollar paid.

Functionality, ease of use and cleaning power is Great ! Spray on, scrub with firm foam or plastic wrapped sponge , then followed by spraying water to neutralize Pre-Clean , filtered or water bottle will work not tap water. Then apply your Flitz Metal polish for an AWESOME Finish ! This product Definitely cuts your work in half and gives you Excellent results. Thank you.

This Metal Pre Clean is not a cure all. It’s absolutely fantastic for cutting through baked on brake dust and grime. I used it to restore and clean the backsides of some 2002 Honda aluminum wheels which had probably NEVER been cleaned and had decades of baked on crude. I sprayed it on generously and kept respraying to keep the working surface from drying while I scrubbed with a scotchbrite abrasive pad. I finally rinsed, dried and reapplied to stubborn spots which I then scrubbed with a steel wire brush. I initially didn’t think there was any way of cleaning the insides of those wheels, but Flinz Metal Pre Clean along with some elbow grease did the trick. It doesn’t work on everything though. I tried it on some stained metal bakeware, aluminum I think, and it didn’t do a thing. Also it’s not really a rust remover, you’ll have to use Oxalic acid or some Iron Remover for the rust.
