These Plasticplace Contractor Trash Bags 55-60 Gallon are super strong but too pricey for every day trash.These are clear plastic so contents will be visible. They have tie flaps at the top so they are easy to tie closed. Since they are 3 mils thick, they are very strong, durable, puncture and abrasion resistant.I use these for storing winter items, seasonal items and for transporting donations. I can see what's inside so nothing accidentally gets thrown away, mistaken for trash. I have had zero issues with these bags. Never popped or punctured one. They are perfect for my purposes.

I bought the bags to cover outdoor plants from frost. My problem had been: bags tore, blew away, or collapsed with weight of water or ice. I covered the plants in 3 separate pots. They are still there, plants are still alive, and have not collapsed from frame.When used for regular remodeling trash they are as described. good quality, hold up very well, very sturdy. Shipment was fast. I have already recommended them to everyone I know.

The box we received was 4mil thick clear plastic garbage bags. These are very strong, durable and well worth the money spent.They do not fit into the can as expected, the bag is too small for a normal Rubbermaid trash can.

I use large, clear, strong plastic bags to wrap my tall plants when I go out of town...creates a greenhouse effect after watering, and my plants thrive (still need exposure to light, of course). These are great bags except for one thing -- the reason for the 3 and not 5 stars is that they emit a very powerful, putrid plastic odor. I was taking a chance by ordering these that they wouldn't stink, but they do. I'll have to air out the bags outside prior to wrapping my plants in them. My local hardware store no longer carries the type of large, clear, strong bags I had been using -- also utility -- or I'd have stuck with those.

Before I retired we used a lot of this size in the 5 mil thickness. Because of scarcity and expense I went with the 3 mil for use at home. I find them good for a very large array of uses.
