Life Extension Super Ubiquinol CoQ10 with PQQ, 30 softgels (Pack of 2)

I've been using Life Extension products for a long time. I feel great, I think I look pretty good (my wife likes what she sees :) ) and my health is great. I take a low dose statin, even though my cholesterol numbers are excellent. Statins lower the CoQ10 levels in your heart and in your muscles, which is why some people experience leg pain when taking them. If you take a good quality CoQ10 supplement, like Life Extension, it will help replenish those levels in your body. That will hopefully alleviate any pain in your muscles when taking a statin. Per Life Extension, PQQ has been shown to induce mitochondrial biogenesis—the growth of new mitochondria in aging cells. While CoQ10 optimizes mitochondrial function, PQQ activates genes that govern mitochondrial reproduction, protection, and repair. So this supplement has its advantages. It works for me. Hopefully it'll work for you too.

I am new to taking supplements but I am being more conscious of my personal health. After consulting with a nutritionist they recommended CoQ10 with PQQ. The CoQ10 is something that I have heard of but PQQ is a newer supplement that I had to research. There are no long term studies available but the current studies show that it enhances the affects of CoQ10. After the first 30 days I can say, personally, that it has improved my memory and recall in short and long-term memory. I am able to process more information on a daily basis. As a caveat, I am also on a multi-supplement regime and a more reasonable diet, but this is something I added almost 6 months after my initial supplement support and still noticed results.

I've been taking this for 3 months now and I've had my blood tested every 3 months to verify that I have good levels of CoQ10 in my system now. Also, my HDL cholesterol (the good kind) went from 40 up to 67. This is an inverse factor (good) for CHD (Cariac Heart Disease) and my LDL (bad) went from 217 down to 127. I contribute the CoQ10 along with other vitamins (Calamarine & Krill Oil) for my significant improvement in my health. My blood pressure went from 140/100 down to 122/82 also. So I know this and the other vitamins are actually working. I also cut out sugars and starches which helped reduce my weight significantly. So in general I consider this to be just one part of the overall path to health. I would say that vitamins are about 20% of the picture, with diet about 70% and low impact intensity training about 10%.

Good price on a great product.
