Would these work on a wooden brio train track?

The cars do work on the track however Fast the train does not for some reason they gave him different wheels.

Are they made of PVC ?

They are plastic. Not the sturdiest, as they are hollow plastic and pretty light weight, but my boys have had them since Christmas and so far so good!
