Add Me To The List !!
We just got back from camping, and got a chance to use this pump. Well, actually, we *had* to use this pump, because I forgot to pack my battery powered air mattress pump that we normally use. OK, here's the story: I've always used a 4 D-cell battery powered air mattress pump. It works pretty quickly, but never had enough power to really make the mattress firm enough. Wanting a bit better sleep on this summer's camping trips, I did some research and found the Airhead hand pump. My original plan was to fill up our queen-size air mattress 90% of the way with the battery pump, and then finish it off with a hand pump to actually get it firm enough for good sleep. I figured that would be faster and easier. Well, so we put up the tent, and I asked my wife where the battery pump was. Turns out that each of us thought that the other person had packed it in the truck. So, instead we got out the Airhead pump and got to work. I was very impressed with this hand pump. The "double action" pumping really moves a lot of air quickly, and the pump operated smoothly. It really did not take very much effort. We each took two short turns pumping, and the queen air mattress was just about full. I switched over to single-action mode for the last few pumps, as I thought I remembered reading that you could get better pressure this way. Unlike some of the reviewers, I had no problem with the hose coming out of the mattress. It simply worked great. My only advice is to pump smoothly and take care not to push/pull the handles crookedly as it is a plastic mechanism and I suppose that this would cause the plastic to stress and break eventually. Bottom line: This thing is a bargain. It didn't take any longer than using the battery pump (possibly even less?) and for the first time, we were able to blow up the mattress to be firm enough. Plus, I no longer need to worry about checking the batteries in the electric pump. From now on, this will be the only one we're packing in the truck.

Great manual pump for inflatables, no electric needed
Pretty good pump! I got my physio ball pu, e mped in less than five minutes, whereas the little foot pump included with the ball was not cutting it at all. But there are a few "gotchas" with this pump. If you're careful, this is a great non-electric assist to inflate tubes, balls, mattresses and floaties. There are a cluster of inlets on the bottom end of the hose, to fit a variety of sports balls and other inflatables. The other end, the top of the hose attaches at the TOP of the pump with a sort of twist lock. I had trouble turning it to the locked position so I just inserted it, felt that it was tight enough in the pump, and hoped for the best (if you have strong hands, you'll be able to lock it. I worried I wouldn't be able to unlock it if I grabbed a wrench to twist it shut.) It worked well enough just inserted into the inlet. On the top of the pump there are two inlets so you can choose between INFLATE and DEFLATE, which is great because you can use this pump to deflate your 12 foot tall floating swan at the end of swimming pool season. It's completely manual, no battery, no cord for AC power. It weighs a pound and a half ( 0.68 kilos) and is 18" tall (46cm) It doesn't make much noise, and it can be stored with little problem, in the trunk of your SUV or a deck box, etc. THE WARNING: the little set of connector lugs on the end of the hose do look a bit fragile. Do not shove and twist them in with your insanely-strong professional wrestler hands. Like stripping a screw, you can possibly break off these lugs and make the hose difficult if not impossible to keep attached to the pump. There are a set of these lugs on the top to connect to the pump, and a set on the bottom on the nozzles. I just pushed them in firmly and didn't twist too hard. I know a guy who would have demonstrated to me his superior strength and twisted them into deformity--and then I'm stuck trying to affect a repair. So be careful. You were warned.

Best Double Pump Out There!
This is the best double pump that I have used. This is my second one, my first one (that I had for over 10 years) finally called it quits. I know this is pricier than some others out there, but it has some features that I really like. It's taller so you're not bending over as much, the hose is longer, it has any adapter you could need. I also like that you can use it to deflate items as well. My first version was used on anything we needed inflated, or "topped off." We've used it on towables, tubes, rafts, pool toys, air mattresses, floating coolers, etc. We never go camping, boating, or tubing down the river without it! It's easy to use and fairly compact. If you are on the water, it's a staple! Even if you use an electric pump, use this after and you will notice a big difference!

Good pump for Good Price (works great with Coleman air mattresses)
Works great for Coleman air mattresses! I bought this for inflating / deflating the air mattress for camping. Inflating a twin size mattress in matter of minutes, not too much of labor (more labor from bending over than the pumping). It finishes job much faster and much firmer than our battery operated Coleman air pump. Some people worry about the hose connected to handle that goes up and down, hence possible loosening of the nozzle attachment to the air hole while pumping. The nozzle is designed just right for our Coleman air mattresses we have and it never comes loose while pumping. The pump comes with several different nozzles all tied up together at the tip of tube so you won't lose them.A nice, simple feature. Why not 5 stars? The bellowed plastic tube seems very flimsy and I question its durability. If something sit on it or bend it too much, it can break from the seem. I wish the tube was a thicker and sturdier than this. Yes, the price is very good but if it doesn't last, what is the saving for? But this is yet to be seen. Yes, I recommend this product.

Very cheap quality
For over $20 this pump is absolutely ridiculous. It’s made of cheap plastic and and thin short tubing so you have to be very careful with it. Most of the adapters are useless and don’t even fit my inflatables. The hose itself is extremely short. You barely have any room to work with when you’re pumping unless you stretch the tube. For a small pump it’s difficult to pump and doesn’t put out much air. You have to really work to get anywhere with this thing. This pump is 100% outperformed by an $8 pump I bought at Bi-Mart. I would return this item if we had a shipping center locally but unfortunately we don’t. Do yourself a favor and skip this pump. It is no better than the cheapest option your local store has to offer.

Works like a champ
This thing just works like a champ. It IS a little big - you wouldn't want it in your backpack, I don't think, but for camping where you take a vehicle, or for at home if you just want something that will work without electricity, this works just great. The attachments had one that fits, and stays in til you take it out, my old Coleman single air mattress. Fills it very quickly using the pump on both strokes setting. Even fills fairly fast on the single stroke setting since the air chamber is fairly large, but the 2-stroke is much faster and not that much harder to do. Got it for a few bucks less marked "Used" from Amazon's Warehouse Deals as the box it came in was mangled. What do I care about the box? Such a deal... Update 7-3-16: Still loving this pump. Had to get a new air matress, got an extra tall one this time, twin size. It took 200 strokes on the double pump setting. That may sound like a lot, and I guess it kind of is, but I like that the inflation can be accomplished without electricity and I just wanted to see how long/how many strokes it took. Though I hate the sound the electric pumps make, next time I probably would use one for the initial fill, and finish it off with this hand pump as this one will definitely get you up to a much firmer fill. The electric ones, mine at least, will start to complain at the resistance as the item gets almost full, leaving you with a mushy matress. A few pumps with the AirHead gets rid of all that mushiness. I'd buy this thing again in a heartbeat.

Really needed for proper inflation of water toys. Item works great and is efficient.
I was skeptical when I read that I needed this hand pump to finish blowing up tubes that we pull behind our family boat. Not taking any chances I purchased the pump and it was needed. Most 12v inflators can do 97% of the job of blowing up the water toys but to get that last little bit of pressure and make the tube firm so it will function as designed it is important to add that last little bit of pressure. The pump can be set to inflate on both the down and upstroke so it is pretty efficient.

Great pump for my Advanced Elements inflatable kayak
Great pump for my Advanced Elements inflatable kayak! Has a selector knob for dual-action inflation (inflates on up and down strokes) or for regular downstroke-only (easier but takes longer). Also reverses for deflation. It came with four different fittings, one of which does work for all valves on the kayak (slips inside big ones, over small ones). It does pop out of the big ones if you don't hold it in place, but the threaded adapter that came with the kayak DOES FIT on the pump's hose just like the ones that come with it, so you can use that instead if you prefer. The hose is a good length and very pliable. The pump seems robust but is EXTREMELY LIGHT which is awesome! It shipped to me in the product box with a shipping label stuck to it, which is a great place to store the pump for future use to prevent damage. It doesn't have a pressure valve, so you have to be mindful not to overinflate. I found that it pumps the kayak full in just a few minutes, and I'm not very strong. The floor, combing, and deck riser all pump in one or two strokes, and the big main chambers take maybe 20-30 pumps total? It's perfect for my needs. Glad I didn't buy the AE one that's over twice the price for the same unit (as far as I can tell).

Good pump for pool toys
The choice of being able to add air on both in and out pumping action blows up big floats much faster. The choices of nipples to insert into the floats means everything I had to blow up was not a problem. Relatively small size means easy to store. The foot rests mean it is easy to pump with strength.

Great product.
For the price this pump is awesome! I use it for a float tube that I fill with an electric pump first, and then use this to top it off. The deflate option is great as well for the end of the fishing season. Pulls out all the air in my tube so I can store it nice and compact.

As expected A+
It was as expected. Where the air tube joins on to the pump was broken but it works very well. Excellent for inflating water tube.

Fiable y eficiente
Es una buena bomba cuando no necesitas mucho para lo que necesitas. Solo que el tubo es malo, es de ese plástico de los tinacos rotoplas no es un material manejable, por lo tanto cuidar de no doblarlo o apachurrarlo para dañarlo

the pump is of good quality and it is efficient to pump my new Advaced Elements Kayak. The connections provided adapt perfectly to the kayak. Deflation feature is really useful. Two small negative points for this pump are: 1 -The lack of pressure gauge. I manage to adapt one. But it was difficult as I had to drill the top of the pump near the hose connection. 2 - The hose is weak. I do not know where to find a replacement in case it breaks. Overall I'm satisfied with this pump, but still recommend to purchase a pump with the pressure gauge.
