Perfect size for my shredder!
I purchased an Ativa 12-sheet paper shredder a couple of months ago and upon reading the owner's manual noticed that it recommended you use shredder bags to prevent dust and debris from affecting the wear of your machine. After looking around I realized that most bags made specifically for paper shredders are unreasonable: $30 for 100 bags? First off, who needs 100 bags? I use my shredder for personal items (credit card statements, etc.) and maybe fill up a bag every 2-3 months. So if the price was great (no, $0.30 a bag is not a good deal), I might have considered purchasing 20 years worth of bags, but not likely. So to save money and purchase a more reasonable number I bags, I went with the Hefty Medium Garbage Bags. They fit my shredder perfectly, keep the paper dust contained, and at $5 a box (or $0.20 a bag) were exactly what I needed. So if you need bags for your small shredder, this is the way to go.

Spoiled By Draw String Bags
I bought a new home with built in dual 8 Gallon trashcans in the kitchen. Got these bags because the 30 gallon bags were bulky and did not look quite right. I should have remembered to take function over form. These bags use twist ties and are quite thin. I can fill the already small bag only 2/3's full before I have to remove so I can use the twist tie without tearing the bag. So we are back to the standard 30 gallon drawstring bag until we can find a drawstring type 8 gallon bag. It doesn't look as neat but it works perfectly.

Review of 8-gallon trash bags
These 8-gallon trash bags are perfect for what I needed them for: my home office trash can and the shredder trash can. These are not trash bags that I would use for heavy kitchen use, even if you had an 8-gallon kitchen trash can... I'm not sure they would hold up. I could never find trash bags big enough to fit in my office trash can, but these work. They also fit in my shredder which is a bonus.

Fits iTouchless 7 gallon Trashcan Nicely
I wanted a trashbag that would fit my new, nifty itouchless trashcan, without a lot of the excess plastic waste that would be incurred by buying regular "tall kitchen" trash bags. This does it. I ordered several boxes because this size is hard to find. I took off one star because I wish the bag had longer handles on the side, like some of the newer bags, to make it easier to tie up...

These bags are trash
I had high hopes for these bags as they are "GLAD" bags. They are extremely thin, you have to pull them apart. They are a continuous roll. Then you have to use use twist ties to tie the bags. I dunno know they just seemed cheap in quality to me. But then again they are just for trash. They seem as tho they are flexible, so things most likely won't poke through. You might be well served going to a Sams club. However this size is not a common size, which is why I bought them from Amazon. However I may not buy much more through Amazon since the owners seemed to have a liberal point of view. Donating 2.5 million US $ to support same sex marriage. A view I strongly disagree with.

Worse Than Generics In Your Grocery Store
These are worse than the generic bags you can buy - at half the price - at your local grocery store. The box has a lid, rather than a self-feeding opening and this makes it very cumbersome to remove a bag. The bags are attached in a long stream requiring you to find the perforation where you rip them apart. Then, you will spend a great deal of time trying to open the bag to insert into your can. It is alnost impossible to find the correct end and, if you ever do, you may never be able to get them open. I had to rip a section of each end in order to try to find the correct end and then open it.If you buy these, my best advice is to spend the time trying to get one open, put it in your trash can and then throw the remainder of the box of these into that trash can.

Nice Find!
I'm happy to find these, for a neater look to my 7-8 gallon waste cans than "tall kitchen" bags which drape all over the outside. I don't think they are made for heavy garbage - this size trash can is meant for offices, collectiing daily amounts of wadded up paper for instance. That said, it's a pity they're not widely available like other bag sizes! There really are lots of this size trash cans around. I did check Staples and they have this size but much thinner and ib bigger quantities. So I'm very happy Amazon offers them.

Perfect size for what I needed
These don't seem to be available in most stores, which carry either a 3 or 4 gallon or a 13 gallon. I have some larger wastebaskets where the 13 is way too big and the 3 is way too small. Good product, I just wish there was a place I could source these locally.
