I want to be a cardio-thoracic surgeon when I get older, I purchased this item to practice instrument ties and other suturing. Turns out I am a natural at doing this therefore if you want to practice or your interested in becoming a medical being then this would be a great purchase !

Great quality kit! The silicone pad is more durable and much better quality than another product I bought online. The fabric mesh built into pad makes a big difference in the experience, sutures don't rip the skin if you go deep enough. Recommended!

Adequate Type and Quantity of supplies.I live an adventuresome life: racing sailboats, mountain biking, hiking, etc. With these activities, medical aid is not usually readily available. So, over the years, I have advance from basic first aid to "advanced" first aid.The last time I had to sew up a laceration, I went to an urgent care facility at the first opportunity. Upon inspection of my sutures, the doctor was impressed and left the sutures as is!I can tie sutures very well, but to do it quickly in the field requires practice! Since none of my friends will volunteer to let me cut then suture them, this practice is kit is just what I needed!!

Does not properly connect with other side of wound, either the suture breaks or the gel splits, the practice wound at too wide and don’t stretch, also sutures are really flimsy and break easily. The needle forceps had poor grip, so it does not grip the sure well.
