Sharp, wider and longer for comfortable handline. I used it right away and it was the first time I complete my toenail trim with a clippers (I have to use nippers for my very thick toenail, and even nippers cannot handle thick ones properly). It does not open wide enough to cut mine in one pass but it trims small piece by piece easily. It is so sharp, I only need to press the middle of the handle for my stone like nails. Also, the big nail file is a good design for thick nails. The side file is probable too narrow and useless for this kind of nail. I hope it can open even wider. I guess that the factory does not want to take risk of damage non nail part of the body. By the way, the product description (side nail file) is incorrect. It only has one very big nail file.

Japanese Nail clippers are superior. If you don't get a chance to purchase one from Japan directly, these are pretty solid substitutes. They cut flawlessly and easily. No pain at all and easy clean up as the nails don't really fly everywhere. Highly recommended. Only downside is they're kind of chunky so some toenails may be hard to reach.

Very good, high quality nail clipper. This is a STRAIGHT BLADE CLIPPER (as opposed to a curved blade clipper). I did not see that in the description nor do I think it was mentioned before I bought them. I am giving it 4 stars only because a curved blade would be more convenient than the straight blade for me and it was not mentioned in the description from the company. Other than that, these babies will easily cut through any nail you can fit in between the blades. Very good quality and I would buy another pair if this one ever died (not that I anticipate that happening). I just wish the blade was curved as you tend to have to make more small clips to not leave "peaks" or edges on your nails. Still a VERY high quality clipper.

I was looking for a straight edge toenail clipper that is sharp enough not to tear the nails and has a clipping catcher. I've tried a few highly regarded brands without much success until I found this product. It fits the bill perfectly! The straight edge is real: sometimes too real because it's very hard to angle it to get a slightly rounded cut. But that's what I was looking for. In addition, the clipped toenail edge on the big toes can be a bit rough, but it's not as bad as with other clippers, and can be easily smoothed with the built-in nail file. The only big caveat is the clipping catcher: it's not easy to take off and put back on. Anyhow, very much satisfied with the purchase overall.

Where have these nail clippers been all my life?! Strong, quick and gets the job done fast.

Not as good as the old KAI collection. This is too big and always leave my nails a rough edge. But overall still better than most of the items brands.
