Kaffe Fassett's Heritage Quilts

As a quilter, we all have favorites designers! To me this is an amazing teaching book! The colors of the fabrics is spectacular!! The designs are stunning!! The patterns are easily followed! Everything about this book is perfect!!👍

Not only does Fassett give quilters brilliantly vivid colors to play with, but this book of patterns gives us new room to play, to invent, and to brighten our homes s well as the lives of families and friends near and far.

Love this book! Kaffe takes his beautiful fabrics and incorporates them into classic quilts from the past with his own special twist. In the beginning of the book he has the originals quilts from 1800's to the mid 1900's with a brief description. Then he takes each one and transforms it into his own version with colorful fabrics and a bit of his own style, but still keeping the integrity of the originals. Very colorful and vivid quilts that are displayed true to Kaffe's unique taste. Directions are easy to read and also gives you the information on what fabrics are used on each quilt pattern, along with templates in the back of the book. If you've ever bought a Kaffe Fassett book, you will not be disappointed! And if you are new to quilting while it might be a little intimidating at first learning some of the piecing, (which I struggled with as a first timer), you will become inspired by his fabrics, the colors and how much more alive your quilts can be.

I have all of Kaffe's books & more than a lot of his fabric, got to meet him last year. I'm definately a fan. This book has several new quilts, one I'm working on now. Definately recommend.

I really enjoyed this collection of quilts! The antique quilts were inspired and a great jumping off point for the new versions. Often I find that the Kaffe Fassett quilt books are advertisements for the fabric collection and it gets distracting, but this one was very much focussed on the wonderful quilts.

I want to make every quilt in this book! His directions are easy to follow too. Fantastic photos. Not one dull quilt.

Haven't seen a Kaffe book yet that I haven't loved.

The book is a dream with so many gorgeous colours, the locations make them spring out at you and make you want to make them all

I love it! Simple designs as well as more challenging. Gorgeous photos. The fabrics are all available. I have at least 3 designs chosen to work on!!

Bought as a gift and it was very warmly received. Beautiful illustrations and helpful guidance throughout.
