Small and tapered so they fit well around the face but the tooth count makes them a true thinning shear, not a blending shear. I use thinning shears under my cat's neck to reduce the length and bulk of the fur that gets caught in her mouth while grooming, without it looking obvious. I notice which areas of fur go in her mouth and then I make several snips there using the thinning shears. It makes a big difference and isn't too noticeable visibly.
