Great for matted pet hair
I purchased this to cut through my long hair cat's mats. Works like a charm. Thins them out and they can be brushed out easily

Good Product, but needs directions
The only reason is because it came with no directions.I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because it came with no directions. It took me awhile to figure out how to use the sheers. At first I tried cutting like normal scissors and thought the purchase was a terrible choice because it wasn't cutting my dog's hair. So I almost gave up and decided to write a bad review. Then I tried to clip the hair into the blades and pull up instead of cutand pull up instead of cut.. This worked great and I finished the whole dog that way. It took a lot of hair off, but I have a Maltese with curly hair and will need to shave her next time. The sheers are really good for in between shaves and to follow up the shaves by grooming with the sheers.. I am pleased with my purchase and recommend it. I would suggest that the company insert good directions with the product. They almost got a bad review. Someone else may not be able to persist and figure out how to use them.

An excellent resource for grooming our Aussiedoodle!
We have an Aussiedoodle whose fur knots into small bundles if we don’t comb her regularly. We do our best to keep up with grooming, but sometimes we fall behind, and the knots accumulate. Because her fur grows continuously, she must visit a groomer several times a year. However, if we bring her to the groomer with many knots, they insist on shaving off her entire coat because it would take too long to untangle them. This happened to us once, and we quickly learned our lesson. An Aussiedoodle without any fur is quite a sight. I remembered my barber using thinning shears to remove sections of my thick hair. Because of this, I decided to purchase these thinning shears for our dog. Whenever our Aussiedoodle gets knots in her fur, we use these shears to carefully trim the tangles while preserving most of her surrounding coat so there is no significant gap. These shears are lightweight and durable and work as effectively as my barber's. The blade end is blunt, which is a good safety feature. Since we started using the thinning shears, her groomer has never rejected her! The picture shows our knotless Aussiedoodle.

Disappointing
Maybe it’s my technique (since I’ve never used thinning shears before), but it looks to me like these shears whack off fur almost like a regular pair of scissors. I used them on my German Shepherd & my Border Collie, both of which are long coated. It performed the same way on both coats - a small hole was left behind in their coats. I tried several places on each dog with the same results. I find I do much better w/a small very sharp pair of Fiskers, cutting straight down into an area of thick hair, perpendicular to the skin & then brushing the area. It does not create a hole in the coat. I did this for years when I had Angora rabbits. I thought these shears might be easier to use or give a better result. A hole in the coat is not a better result in my opinion.

Cat coat trimming the easy way
I use these on my long coated cat. She gets matted so thinning out her coat is best for us both. It doesn’t hurt her. It’s a good quality scissor for the money spent. The size is perfect for close up trimming. The finger holes are best for a woman’s medium size hands.

Thinning Scissors
These scissors were great! They took the hair out of my dogs eyes and didn’t make it look choppy at all. I even ended up using on my hair to thin out because thick hair probs lol and they worked great. The cheapest and easiest scissors and they are so sharp. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for these

Great for trimming my Pomeranian
These shears do a great job when it comes to trimming my Pomeranian's fur. I'm very happy with how they perform. The one issue I've ran across is that it feels like the blades should be swapped. All the fur accumulates on the bottom blade instead of the top blade. That means it's more difficult to remove the fur from the blade to keep going. I'm able to get around this by holding the scissors "upside down" so the fur accumulates on top instead. That allows me to blow the fur off easily so I can keep going. Other than that one issue, they work great! I've been using them for 2 years now without any issues.
