Advertised by seller Salty as 150GPD it is actually only 100GPD! About 5 gallons of usable water every 35-40 minutes.
I am going to start a review based on what I have seen so far. First of all, the unit ships with the DI resin packaged separately, you have to carefully measure and ensure it is in the canister fully. Extra unnecessary work. UPDATE: Maybe this isn't a bad idea as you can reuse the DI cartridge and refill it with resin as it becomes exhausted, but it is still a bit of pain, ship the unit with a DI cartridge already full. Second it is advertised as 150GPD by the seller Salty. However, when it arrives the box states 100GBD or more* This is not acceptable. There is a big difference between a 100 and 150 GPD were talking 50% more production and speed.UPDATE: I hooked the unit up and after following the instructions to flush everything without the RO membrane and without the DI resin (about a 45 minute process) the unit is fully functional and producing usable water at a rate of about 5 gallons every 35-40 minutes. This is not uncommon for these units which was a surprise for me the first time I bought one. Cheaper units will take 3 to 4x longer. Incredibly slow, but I guess if water flowed through it as fast as your tab, it couldn't filter it correctly.I originally gave this 3 stars, but I am giving it 5 now because IceCap is not at fault for Salty;'s false advertising on Amazon. On the box the unit says 100GPD (or more) not really 150GPD. And the instructions say the membrane does 76GPD. So not sure what is accurate but I will tell you, price point it's a little high for only producing 100 Gallons a day.Now I did give the unit 5 stars because I will tell you, construction wise, this is well built. High quality, not too cheap. I like some of the safety features. The timer, the leak detection, the auto shut off etc... A nice touch. Though the leak detection sensor is a little cheap, obviously chinese manufactured, and I wish the sensor element was on the bottom of the circuit board. The sensors are on top and the unit lies flat on the floor but because the sensors are on top, water has to get up over the circuit board so a lot of water will already be on the floor before it shuts off as opposed to setting the sensor at the bottom of the board so the moment any water is detected, it shuts the unit off. One work around is to position the board right under the opening of your container so if water trickles down, hopefully it will land on the board and shut it down.Overall, great design, nice product. Best design I have seen out there, though a little slow. 35-40 minutes for 5 gallons of usable water. I do a 5 gallon top off every 2-3 days and I do a 20-25 gallon water change every week so overall I am spending 2.4 3 hours a week making water. Nice if they sped it up a little. But I am pleased.

Never again.
Leaked right out of the box! Correct one leak just to have another start. Got the leaks stopped but can't trust the system. I have to run it 15 to 30 minutes at a time and have to check on it regularly for leaks.

but since I reviewed it elsewhere I thought that the review might be useful here. A solid well made unit
Didn't buy the unit on Amazon, but since I reviewed it elsewhere I thought that the review might be useful here.A solid well made unit. It produces lots of high quality RO water and is more efficient than units without a pump. The unit has high and low pressure sensors that will shut it off when there is no water, low pressure, or "tank is full" meaning too high an outlet pressure is sensed. But this really isn't a good way to control the unit as it will keep cycling, turning on and then issuing an alarm, when the water is turned off. If the output side is hooked to a closed valve , I believe that the same thing will happen as there are no check valves to prevent the water pressure from creeping down and causing the unit to cycle. A tank might work, might not. The built in timer on the controller is a one shot deal, it can be set for one to many minutes but after it expires it will not turn on again on a daily basis. That would be a really nice, cheap addition to the unit. On my unit, the timer is buggy and hangs. I set it for 30 minutes to run the new cartridge flush and the time just hung at 23 minutes until I turned the unit off. This happened twice and I gave up on the timer mode. I control the unit by plugging it in to an electric timer that turns it on for 2 hours a day. This works well, the controller starts up or boots in manual mode and then the unit proceeds to filter water for 2 hours when it is unceremoniously shut off. Not the most elegant solution but it works. If the unit loses water pressure (I am on a well) while it is on it won't burn up the pump as it will sense the loss of water pressure and issue an alarm, then keep trying to restart. The 3 conductivity meters work well but they are not calibrated to uS like the PinPoint units, instead they use TDS. If the RO or DI meter reads greater than 20 then a change cartridge alert flashes.

Don’t look anything else, it may be others bigger or cheaper but nothing compares to this IceCap
I like everything about this filter system, is handy , compact and efficient. I looked others system but nothing compares to this one. I have another on another tank and is very far from the function point of aspects of this IceCap system. I will Definitely Recommended to anyone interested on an rodi , this is it

A one star rating is flattering
Absolute garbage. I can't really review how it works because it was impossible to assemble. It comes with "plugs" which need to be removed in order to connect the lines. However, you can't remove these plugs!!When contacted both the seller and IceCap did nothing - ZERO. Result - a wasted $200+ purchase.DON'T BUY THIS

I must say this is one of the best RODI units I ever had no more guessing when its time to change filters. I have saved in filters purchase the extra I paid for the unit in less than a year.
